I can't imagine the taste or texture is that great but I'd be willing to give it a try. 1% fat is way too lean if this is your only or primary meat source.
Keep in mind it contains bones, connective tissue, offal and possibly skin so its not quite the same as ground beef from the grocery store.

add dairy fat or whatever other fat source you want. hell fry it in beef tallow if you wanted to >Keep in mind it contains bones, connective tissue, offal and possibly skin so its not quite the same as ground beef from the grocery store.
that's the whole benefit it's gonna be a lot better on micros

so it's even higher nutrition. I wonder if they're bone fragments or actually ground up.
> young calves
Is this what ~~*they*~~ do after they drain the blood of children for adrenocrhome
no they put those in tyson tendies
Literally the type of shit they feed prisoners.
prisoners are not getting grassfed ground veal with organs i promise you. they don't even get actual meat usually
it's pet food

Shipping is a flat rate per 50lbs so filling the freezer with a bulk order is the way to go. Got a five pounder for science. Will report results in a few days once it arrives.
based anon hope it ends up viable
I understand you can't raise everycow but veal and then taking 7 DAY OLD CALFS and grinding them into meat does make me empathize with peta a bit (frick peta)
honestly i agree but this is meant for feeding exotic animals and for some applications it's necessary, and usually a number of male calves need to be butchered either way.
thats what caught my eye, i bet the micronutrient density is off the wall and even contains stuff you cant find easily elsewhere.
it being pet food though is concerning as to the health standards and quality assurance... could be a recipe for parasites or foodborne illness if improperly prepared.

I'll make my usual meals and use it instead of ground beef and see how it compares. The texture of the bones will make it or break it I think. If it needs to be cooked in a certain way to soften the bone I'll try a few different methods to make it edible. expect pics

>=21.69/5
actually not a bad price if it's really 99% lean. that's about what I spend per/lb on 93% on sale, 88% when no sales.

they also have a version without bones which may be more ideal for human consumption. at the same time maybe we should be consuming more bones
