I'm willing to stop eating completely to shred fat fast but apparently my moronic body will think I'm starving and start eating muscle mass before fat

1500cals/day with heavy lifting 5x/week and cardio every day, eating clean, never cheating, and the scale is NOT FRICKING MOVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because muscle is more metabolically active than fat, it takes more energy (calories) to sustain. So if your body thinks it's starving, it tries to reduce its metabolism by burning muscle

Weigh yourself at the same time every day (in the morning) and look at average values over time. One week worth of data isn't going to tell you shit because fluctuations in water weight etc.

I've been eating at 1500cals/day for the last few months. I walk/run twice a day and lift heavy 5x/week. Barely losing 1lb/wk, feel like it should be faster. How do I know if I'm overtraining or undereating?

Losing 1-2 lbs a week is good progress.
Are your lifts progressing or staying the same? You should reevaluate if you feel yourself progressing backwards. Also keep in mind that you might be doing a bit of recouping, i.e. gaining muscle so the weight loss isn't always linear

They're staying the same, definitely not decreasing

If you lose .75 lbs of fat and gain .25 lbs of muscle, you'll only be down 0.5 lbsbut your body composition will be improved.
Measure your waistline and your bodyfat%, it's a better metric than weight alone

you actually CAN minimize muscle loss while fasting, but you're not gonna like the answer, since you'll have to admit keto is good for something

Can confirm. A low calorie keto diet is godlike for fat loss.

1000-1500 calories. All protein. Each day for 30 days. You'll lose 10lbs of pure bodyfat

I like to fast on weekends and when I'm not working out. Probably ganna go camping end eat a bunch of acid this weekend. Even eating a small snack here and there I find an acid bench cuts my meals in half for several days after.

some fit lord clarify this for me. If I simply eat less breakfast and lunch, skip dinner, no eating in between and workout maybe 1 hour per day mainly with bodyweight exercises. Can I achieve anything this way in a timly manner without losing muscle mass?

This is exactly what happens if you fast and exercise though.
