Why did he loved carbs soo much?

Didn't he knew that a diet rich in proteins and fats are the healthiest and that carbs generally only make you fat?

because the purpose of his advice was to be contrarian.

he couldn't just say "yeah a diet leaning towards higher protein is obviously best for muscle gain", he felt compelled to differentiate himself

      >yeah a diet leaning towards higher protein is obviously best for muscle gain"
      But he said that too.
What Mentzer was challenging was the idea that a high protein high fat low carb diet was optimum

Arnold for example ate as little carbs as possible and maxed on fat and proteins

He never went as far as ketomorons

No, that's what he SAID he did. People from the scene at the time talk about him lying aabiut his actual.diet.to.get an edge on the competition.

According to Platz at least, yes he was. About how he trained, how he ate, hiw he rested. Everything he ever said was to get an edge on the people listening to him.

Are you really surprised? He shills for vaxxes, infinity wars, groomers, global warming etc.

Guy is a total sell out and probably did G4P to get where he did in the gay non-sport of bodybuilding

                This
He's got a lot of skeletons in his closet

That's completely false, you actually need to eat a lot of carbs in order to fuel those training sessions, listen to any modern bodybuilders or even not too old like Jay Cutler and you'll get an idea of how much you actually need to eat. Fats are actually the macro out of the main 3 you should eat the less.

                This.

His macro split recommendation came, by his own admission, from the Department of Agriculture. Hardly contrarian

He just won 4 Olympia titles, guess I shouldn't listen to him and instead follow some dyel's advice on youtube

I mean he won and all great shape and all, but he basically preach what every trainer/nutritionists preach. What's the fun of it?
Tom Platz had unique ideas for example, especialy about trainings

I personally enjoy the tried and true as its what gave me the most results to be honest. Everyone wants to try all the fancy stuff and reinvent the wheel as that's what sells it to the dyels, but the reality is that most of the bodybuilding stuff has been figured out long ago. Sure, Ill try some stuff once in a while, but more often than not you quickly realize it's all scams.

Platz I highly respect though, love his enthusiasm, but he is quite old school imo. I did try some of the different forms he was using for hack squats for example, but personally I didn't think it was comfortable and made much of a difference to me. But I guess they don't call him the quadfather for nothing!

High carb diet helps me with sex?

Well, aside from carbs being protein sparing, they are also necessary for the high energy levels he may have needed - but that aside, there was an era before him when bodybuilders actually believed carbs were the most important macro for muscle building.

Thomas DeLauer, the King of Keto, made all his gains on a dirty bulk as a fat boy. He slimmed down with keto and maintains on keto.
When I did keto it cured my acne and soon as I solidified that I quit keto. It made me athletically inferior in every sense except starvation resilience and VO2 max. I could do LISS smoother. I could climb mountains with less hardship and less adaptive time.
I would not recommend keto for nonmedical reasons. Keto is an extreme medical measure to take. It was by far the most extreme prejudice expense I have ever put into my diet.

Keto improved my studying, my emotions, my zen. But eating carbs again selectively as a post keto veteran made me keep from returning to acne. I regained my physical power and brute strength. I also became more supple and springy upon returning to carbs. Keto withers you in a good way. It weathers you. It whittles down your worst parts first. vegan diets are gentle. Keto is intense. Hi complex carb big meat some veg is balanced.
