They didn't use testosterone. Testosterone is one of the few steroids that convert to DHT at a high rate.
And what's more, finasteride and minoxidil didn't even exist back then.
Nowadays, everyone is hurr durr you need to take testosterone, or you will literally die.
Bodybuilders of the 60s thru 80s considered testosterone to be a dirty drug full of side effects, because they didn't have drugs to combat the high estrogen and DHT sides back then. That's why scientists invented other steroids, because testosterone sucked and couldn't be used in clinical settings at high doses or on women and children without catastrophic side effects.
Only when you run it with testosterone, the primo outcompetes testosterone for the receptor and also suppresses shbg which causes free T and therefore free DHT to skyrocket.
Dbol solo was used in women in studies up to 75mg per day for several months without hair loss or facial hair or lowering of voice and it didn't even shut their hormonal system down as they still had their period. Which verifies the 2 studies of dianabol in men which showed that dianabol doesn't shut down natural testosterone production, only moderately suppresses it much like a SARM.
dbol produces bad side effects when you combine it with high dose testosterone. It the testosterone that is causing the side effects as it displaces testosterone and allows free testosterone to rise and wreck havoc on the body in the form of free DHT and free estradiol.
Testosterone is a nasty compound which is why they say you need "an AI, SERM and finasteride on hand" before taking this shit at high doses, to counteract the absolutely horrific side effects that this terrible compound can cause such as balding and literal tit growth. Muh testosterone is so safe.
You do realise that dht isn't the only thing that causes hair loss, right? Tren doesn't convert to DHT and is one of the worst compounds for your hair. It's about how androgenic a hormone is.
It's the testosterone that is run with tren that is causing the hairloss, tren just over powers the test at the receptor causing more of the testosterone just to float around in the bloodstream converting into DHT in tissues such as the scalp.
Tren is not very androgenic on its own.
This is possibly the most moronic post on IST. Congratulations.
NTA, but tren *is* very androgenic, it's just also very tissue selective (binds to ARs in muscle tissue more than the scalp). Roid androgenic ratings are studied based on their effects on rat prostates. I shed like a mofo on primo/mast but tren doesn't touch my hair.

Then why are there so many people who lose hair on tren?
And yet, DHT causes increased hair growth everywhere else.
DHT contributes to the development of scar tissue. Scalp tension results in scar tissue formation, accelerated by DHT. Scar tissue chokes off nutrient supply, and the hair follicle dies. Hair transplants are temporary exactly because you've placed a healthy follicle in a patch of scar tissue. They'll survive for a while, but ultimately, whither and die because they're still being starved.

Is there anything a person can do to prevent scar tissue formation or turn already existing scar tissue into regular skin?
better balanced hormones at the time than us, due to environmental factor. People forget that having balance is as important as the amount or quantity of hormones you have. Because their environment was less hormonally destabilized, their bodies essentially could endure hormonal changes far easier than we can, in this current environment.
The reality is what I notice from a medical standpoint, is not only a great decrease in the presence of certain hormones (testosterone) or increase (environmental estrogen, xeno-estrogens) or even increase in other hormones due to diet/lifestyle/stress like cortisol and insulin.
The biggest conjoining factor that seems to affect almost everyone in the new generations is how imbalanced and unstable their hormone panels are. It's extremely hard to be naturally even keeled anymore.
>dbol doesn't cause hair loss
Lol. And they tool tons of primo, which is nuclear fire for your scalp.
Thing is we really don't know what they took, everyone in ops pic lied like crazy about everything and anything. Say what you want about how ugly modern bodybuilders are; most besides cbum will admit to taking 5gs+ of gear.
go fill up your BPA xeno-estrogen leaking microplastic Walmart water jug at the tap, then chug a big swig of birth control tap water homosexual, then come back and talk to me boomer. And don't forget to pull up the ladder behind you, butthole.
>yea how much
According to Casey Viator, Mike Mentzer was on 2.5 grams a week of deca and "god knows" how much dbol and primo. Arnold would prepare for contests on a gram a week of primo.
Pretty much every pro from the 60s and 70s took ungodly amounts of dbol. Larry Scott was forced into retirement by health issues stemming from popping dbol like m&ms. Sergio Oliva had a tub of dbol and with every meal he'd just grab a handful, wouldn't even count them. Arnold's favorite pre-workout in Austria was 7-8 dbol tablets and a shot of heavy cream. Dbol was omnipresent back then
Since circa 1960 professional bodybuilding has revolved around drugs.
they are all natty, they frauded for competitions. arnold off season looks like any other guy, but you cant be a mass monster like that. zane on that pic is natty though, he just trained better and eat lots of vitamins like serge with horse meat.
>Why didn't any of the old school guys go bald? They all roided.
Go look at what young men looked like back then; look at guys at Woodstock. Baldness was actually extremely rare in 20-somethings, even 30-somethings.
On Seinfeld, in the 90s, George's premature baldness (he was in his 30s) was a running gag. So was his obesity (yet by today's standards he's basically normal).
Meanwhile in my generation (30yo boomers), a lot started balding in their late teens/early 20s.
For me it started around 20.
My thinking is obesity, stress, and maybe fatty acid composition (too much linoleic acid?), but those are just guesses.
It's strange because T levels are lower, people are fatter (fat = more estrogen), so you'd think we'd all have thick heads of hair into our 60s, but instead you have a generation of Tim Pools.
Great picture for illustrating that it's all about bodyfat. homie looks like an obese sack of shit with no definition whatsoever and then looks like a ubermensch when he's technically a lot less strong.
Left is Big Z at a physical state of strength no man has likely ever reached in human history. Literally the strongest man who has ever lived. Right picture he's considerably weaker.

There must be an explanation guys WHY
They had good genes, I’ve been blasting gear for years and still have all my hair. Also they didn’t use as much gear in general back then, probably a lot less tren and masteron, if they used it at all.
They were taking more dbol than anything else and it doesn't cause hair loss

Primo has a lower binding affinity for SHBG than Test
The DHT theory of hairloss is incorrect and you're cucking yourself.
How? DHT has been proven to cause hairloss in sensitive scalps.
And yet, DHT causes increased hair growth everywhere else.
DHT contributes to the development of scar tissue. Scalp tension results in scar tissue formation, accelerated by DHT. Scar tissue chokes off nutrient supply, and the hair follicle dies. The golden era physique of the 70s comes from a metric ton of dbol, deca, and primo
yea how much homosexual? We have no idea, they could've taken 10gs of gear for all we know. Golden Era BB's are absolute liars.
lol, how do you know that?

How can one person be so dumb? Do you have to think about your breathing? What about that ringing in your ear?
Arnod was balding as frick in Terminator 2, he clearly webt through surgeries
Arnold was 44 in T2, moron. Some hair loss is inevitable at that point.
not really, thats what israelites made you believe so you buy their meds
I don't buy shit, I'm 32 with a good hairline. Some recession is normal when you're a middle-aged man.
probably everyone wearing a wig now
honestly dont believe anything you see in the internet and it includes this comment
Metabolic stress.

His lifts are world-class lil bro.
tbf he had a lot more muscle mass when he was fatter
Left is Big Z at a physical state of strength no man has likely ever reached in human history. Literally the strongest man who has ever lived. Right picture he's considerably weaker.
Angus McAskill would like to break words with your "strongest" man
his image on the right is such a lie. he never lost his gut. you'll see it in his training vids from that time on ig
Isn't test made from phyosterols (onions shit), hence why it causes hairloss and other various side-effects?!
No creatine, no keto, high volume instead of high intensity, isolations instead of compound lifts...

Almost 30yo TURBOROIDERS WITH PERFECT HAIR NORWOOD 0
There must be an explanation guys WHY
Norwood 0 is quite a stretch. The way they styled their hair doesn't let you see their hairline either. Arnold and Franco never had a nw0
But arnold never went beyond NW1 or 2 either.
They had good genes, I’ve been blasting gear for years and still have all my hair. Also they didn’t use as much gear in general back then, probably a lot less tren and masteron, if they used it at all.
They used dbol, deca and primo.
The shit they were taking was tame compared to modern roids.
Primo and dbol certainly aren't tame when it comes to hair loss.
Good genes are good
those who went bald didn't get promoted in the industry and this is why you don't know them, simple as
I think we're overthinking it here. Some people are genetically predisposed to go bald, some aren't.
