Why do fitness youtubers over complicate working out so much? Is it just to push out more content?
Also are there any genuinely good fitness youtubers who cut the bullshit and give good advice?

There's no money in making one single 3 minute video that says
>lift heavy
>eat a lot of food and protein
Pretty much this
There isn't actually too much to say, you can dive deep into the little details but at the end of the day it's pretty pointless. There are only so many ways to say "just lift"

>did you just FRONT SQUAT in front of me?
Do you know who I am?
MY NAME IS DEREK DEATHSTAR DELTS FROM MORE PLATES MORE DATES, MOTHERFRICKER
YOU BETTER STOP FRONT SQUATTING NOW!
YOU SERVE NO PURPOSE!
YOU SHOULD have a nice day NOW!
Now everyone is oversimplifying bodybuilding now, especially those mentzertards
>"This is the best way to work out this muscle group!"
>two weeks later when showing the exact same exercise
>"Doing this will kill your gains!"
I hate them so much bros
>"don't do THIS"
>big red circle and arrow pointing at a very general thing that everyone does
>onions face youtuber with a mouth gaped wide enough to fly a 737 through
I also hate them.
these types of homosexuals created the perfect environment for sam sulek to just show up with 20 minute videos of him lifting and then just recapping by saying "just lift heavy and eat lots brah" on the car ride home.
He does it every day and people still tune in.
SS is a friend simulator
There's a lot of big muscular guys that are doing the same format, at the end of the day lifting is a no brainer activity that pretty much only requires discipline to do it every day (like cleaning your house or mowing your lawn), so the perfect video for people who lift is just a guy that clearly lifts going home from the gym just talking about life and shit
i literally went to find a simple fricking answer to my question of "where should my foot position be while squatting" and had to skip through like 5 minutes of horse shit to find a simple answer... the fitness social media shit nowadays is fricking ass
Honestly Youtube Shorts are better for quick answers rather than shitters like Jeff Nippard quoting peer reviewed studies as to why your foot should be angled at 30 degrees
normally i avoided those at all costs because its just one goyslop corporation(youtube) trying to profit off another goyslop corporation(tik tok). but theyve honestly grown on me, i dont sit there for hours watching shit so when i just want to get straight to the point i love watching them. hate boring 30 minute videos of just incoherent slop
yeah ive seen a ton of conflicting shit and some form advice that makes me feel like im gonna snap my shit up when i try to do it like them, weird uncomfortable pressure on joints, tendons feeling like theyre gonna pop off etc.
thats what ive learned mostly over everything. just because someone says to do X just like this doesnt mean its good for my body. hard to give good advice to millions of people with dozens of different body types, genetic variance etc
>different body types, genetic variance etc
You know how much external rotation shilling is pushed on the internet for instance?
Yes we should externally rotate more, yes we sit too often and nerd-neck, wienerroach body is becoming the norm.
However these people shilling external rotation are forgetting to tell people to also stretch and workout internal rotation.
If you don't you will frick your shit up and that's fundamentally what is wrong with youtube.
>hey guys do x
>guys do x
>guys do X WAY TOO OFTEN
>OH FRICK Black person AHHH
When a healthy coach will tell you
>hey man we need to get your external rotation up to same strength as your internal rotation so just maintain internal rotation and stretches, slowly work on bringing external strength and stretching up also
OHP is another one that is shilled way too often, i was doing handstand pushups and had a 2pl8 OHP at one point.
I couldn't move past it, i did everything by the ~~*Book*~~ and suddenly my shoulder just popped one day and 2 years of rehab.
If I would of listened to my own body I would of known that 2pl8 was the natural limit for my body and I should have accepted it, that forcing a movement would only cause damage.
Just listen to your bodies people, if it feels unnatural check with a rehabilitation specialist first.
He might notice your scapula doesn't pin correctly for this movement and that should be fixed before trying this other movement.
I like when you have to sieve through 8 minutes of video only to find that the guy does the exercise wrong himself...
you should have your feet at whatever position feels natural for you.
you should do a movement how it feels natural for you.
Not always true. Being on the balls of my feet felt the most natural for me at first
Yeah because you’re physiologically fricked up from decades of sitting at a desk. Don’t blame the excercise because you have a fricked up body. It’s your fault your functionally disabled
He isn't blaming the exercise dingus he's saying "you should do a movement how it feels natural for you." isn't always good advice.
Ok but eating donuts and sitting on the couch is “natural” for 70% of Americans it doesn’t mean that exercise and diet are bad for them because it’s “unnatural” to them
It’s their fault they did permanent damage to their bodies just like it’s his fault he did permanent damage to his musculoskeletal systems by sitting at a desk for 20 years
>alright guys if you've clicked on this video it's because you want to find the proper foot position while squatting
>but first let me take a moment to just thank all of you for subscribing. over 60% of you are subscribed but if you're not please take a moment and click the subscribe button and notification bell below
>and if you like the video so far, please give it a like, and if not then leave a comment about what I could improve or just leave a like at the end
>now a lot of people who lift choose the squat for leg day, but is it the only lift you could do?
>here we see a leg press position, if your legs are high up on the plate like this you get massive quad involvement
>another exercise really effective for legs...
>20 minutes of leg exercises
>finally for the squat
>you should have your feet at whatever position feels natural for you. you should do a movement how it feels natural for you
Kek perfect, just need to sneak a paid promotion somewhere in there.

>and now a word from our sponsor...
>also don't forget to try our pre-workout, bigfart ultra, use the code BRAPP for 10% off. That's BRAPP for 10% off

>one last thing, I would NEVER ask my viewers for money however consider donating to our patron as it helps the channel and allows me to do what I do
>and also, I've already made a similar video on *shit nobody care about* don't forget to check that one out if you are interested!

Anthony Fantano has gone too far.
The Needle Drop convinced me to do steroids and now Im gay.
Help me, IST
athlean X fricked my shit up unironically with his shilling of face pulls.
my shoulders were perfect until i started doing that gay ass exercise and fricking first week impingement from it.
Also I have never gotten impingement from upright rows.
He literally has zero idea what he is talking about.
Thanks for the warning lad. I was starting to get into them because of his shilling to help my shoulders, but I have to admit they don't feel right.
the issue is mainly that the idea is right, but his fundamentals on how to get to the end result are wrong.
The human body is not going to counteract years, if not decades of you doing a specific movement in a specific way.
You suddenly trying to force it will always end up with you seriously hurt given enough time.
Move the way the body wants you to move without pain.
>they dont feel right
Trust your body but my body feels glorious doing face pulls
Just use bodybuilding.com instead
Overcomplicate everything and look no different than the regular bro who lifts with mediocre form whatever he wants for years. I hate youtubers.
only people with amazing genetics can afford to oversimplify bodybuilding and still get good results
and only morons need someone to hold their hands for what are basic fricking movements.
Kid you need to hear this
You are not performing rocket science, hell you are not even in the top 1k athletes world wide.
Nothing about what you are doing is at such a level you need to think about it at all and the fact you think otherwise is proof of how utterly moronic you and all your peers have become.
Did you have to be taught to do a pushup?
Did you have to be taught how to do a squat?
Black person I was doing that shit when I was a literal baby, it is a natural movement.
most people who didn't do a proper form check on pushups and squats do them incorrectly, I mean, they can move in space, but they don't perform the exercise as they should
also going into details is just a part of being interested in it and having a hobby
People usually do calistetic movements without any issues. Those are natural movements.
But squats is anything but not natyral movent. You have to learn it.
Squat is the single most natural movement of any excercise you can possibly do you fricking moonbrain. Every single 1 year old in the world can squat perfectly. It’s just morons (like you) who sat at a desk playing video games for 20 years and fricked up their physiology that don’t know how to do a squat
nah almost everyone has to be instructed to not round their back. going low is also very unnatural.
Nope. Kys
All the nerdy dyel asian indian stem scrubs are getting into lifting
