My husband is 6’5 and looks lanky and healthy even when overweight. Doesn’t have to lift anything to look good or attractive. Muscles are manlet cope.

Yeah that was me, but I didn't post my body as a teenager. There's only two posts of me on this website, the one I posted earlier on this thread and the one attached to this post here. Maybe some photos of my bulk are lurking around here somewhere, some dude tried to take my picture and pretend to be me which I thought was pretty funny.
I've been very consistent about my story throughout my posts on fit. I did SS for awhile, then moved onto a modified Texas Method. I started at 160lbs at 6'1, gained 50lbs, lost 25, now I'm at 185lbs cut as frick, climbing harder than ever (even if my strength went to shit since I don't actively try to lift heavy). In total, I lifted seriously for 18 months, then took a 2-3 month cut. People say natty lifting's a joke, those same people haven't seriously programmed their routines, then wonder why they get stuck at a 2 plate bench

Yes, tall guys MUST get strong. I think little guys can quickly build a nioce looking physique, but for taller guys, legit strnegth is required. Like Gorilla stength. Comapre yourself to Powerlifters who compete, not the average gym goer.
This. This entirely. When you're big, you need to pack on muscle to look big. Tiny guys (sub 5'8) can look aesthetically pleasing without being strong, but they'd STILL benefit from being stronger anyways. 3x10 at 225 is gonna give you a bigger chest than 3x10 at 135.

I lifted and went to the gym for years and eyars and years. I saw no changes. At all. Once I started deadlifting and working on fgetting stornger, I saw some modest changes. I diodnt get thick or muscular looking ut my body did gain some muscular size and densioty.
A decade later (by this time oive been gymming for twenty years- yes im an old gay) I disovered SS and started doing the basic barbell lifts (prior gym had been lots of machoiens and more bodybuilding style training). After about two years I heard feedback saying I wasl loojing more like a bodybuilder. This was just doing the basic SS program. In my 40s.
I kept chasing strength and did a few PL meet. Nthing amazing but I did finally get to benching 315, squatting 405 and deadlifting in the 5s. I fianlly started to look muscular.
I then got my T checked and it ws low. So I jumped on TRT. Once I was on TRT I decided to start frauding and then things got interesting. Now in my 50s people finally call me "a bodybuilder"
It takes a long time and unless your gifted (I wasnt/am not) you need to get real strong before it starts to look muscley. At least for me.
6'0 lank here. 31 next month. My whole life is tried to be slim (eternal skinny fat) and have only gotten close once (I've been off and on fitness my whole life due to pse) but recently ive realized that being thin is a waste of the potential my body actually has (my arms nearly reach my knees) so now i am on the biggest bulk of my life in order to put on more mass. Currently at 90kg shooting for 100 asap. Any tips on how to make thr most of this?
