I just started taking them about 2 years ago. I was already above them at that point as well. It's just optimal to have learned all of the mechanisms of grinding through symptoms and then adding medication. Now life just seems kind of effortless.

It's been a life saver for me. It's not as bad as people claim, because you're supposed to take a small dosage and not get cracked out. My psychiatrist used to put me on fat doses as a kid and it gave me issues. ADHD certainly exist, I don't think most people who are diagnosed have it though. These drugs do wonders for people like me

good luck bro, I had to take the reverse route (very anxious person, had a shitty response with every first and second-line treatments for GAD ... SSRIs, benzos, buspar, you name it) and my anxiety actually comes from ADHD, I'm one of those few that get very calm and centered with dopaminergic drugs
I hope you find something that works for you. Remember to be on top of your non-pharmacological interventions (proper sleep, exercise, etc). They do make a difference in the long run
