Why do only big lifters drink carbs/eat candy during or after their workouts

I’ve never seen guys do this who weren’t big as shit. Does it only work for steroid users or something? Do the simple carbs really do that much?

    In order to maintain that much muscle mass you need to be eating a large amount of calories per day. If they are hitting their macros through other meals, at a certain point it’s an easy way to get a few hundred calories with a candy bar.
    While not the healthiest, the purpose is to maintain the extra muscle weight. Some are probably on some kind of fear, but that’s not really related.

        I like a big meal 2h before workout. And I use intra-workout drink with 10g eaa's + 5g creatine + 1g salt you can also add dextrose/maltodextrin/sugar I personally don't like it because I feel lethargic by the end of the training session, so I rather focus in increasing complex carbs in the meal before but you can try and see how you feel, or just eat a banana

      Took ten posts for somebody not moronic to post it. Yea, a lot of guys use novarapid pre-workout so you need fast acting carbs.

      Also, you can go hypoglycemic easily on tren in my experience, not fun.
