It's just that victim mentality and it allows them to blame everything that goes wrong in their life on their shortcomings. It's okay to acknowledge that being short or ugly has significant disadvantages, that's just reality, but it's not the end, it just makes things more difficult. I took the blackpill a few years ago myself and it made me depressed but once I accepted my flaws as part of who I am and they didn't bother myself as much anymore I actually started enjoying life and realized they have a lot less impact than I thought.
