Why do people treat lifting as a lifetime commitment thing when in reality you reach your natty limit within 3-4 years and only need to lift once a week for maintenance afterwards?

You train like shit for the first year or two so that doesn't count for much. The next few years you're training like everyone tells you to and you make good gains. After long enough you experiment and realize you've been leaving a lot on the table and your physique improves a lot because you start optimizing your program for you in particular

Frick outta here, your bro split physique is nowhere near your "natty limit." If you're not training like a bronze era bodybuilder and looking the part you're years away from anything resembling a limit.

I didn't say limit. I said mass. Hitting the limit is stupid because there's an incredible amount of diminishing returns.

Hit peak mass in 3 to 4 years and then maintain that while focusing on being lean. You'll be strong and you'll look good

Natties get extremely buttmad when they realize they're not going to be jacked in 5, 10 years. With 20% of males 18-30 roiding you can't even pull off the "I'm a gym rat" move

By natty limit people usually mean the amount of muscle you can feasibly reach without dedicating your whole life to it. Lifting is a realm of diminishing returns, you reach 70% of your genetic potential fairly fast, the following 15% will take decades and the most precise diet known to man, and the last 15% are locked away from natties

It took me about 6 years to get where I wanted to be and do a maintence routine. I sort of fill the vacuum it left with cardio, athletic training and outdoor hobbies.
