The entire Zyzz resurrection on TikTok and YouTube shorts was 100% done by zoomers…

You know a friend of mine once asked me why I still lift weights, he said how I still haven’t “got over it” yet and that he got over lifting in his early 20s and that lifting is for teenagers

We’re in our mid 30s now so maybe what he said makes sense… lifting is for younger guys in their teens and early 20s

Lifting weights for me doesn’t require willpower or dedication, I am addicted to it. The only thing that stops me from going is when I’m sick.

But I am not a normie.

I would say the normie demographic of lifters all quit by 30 at the latest

Getting/staying strong as you age is the number 1 determinant of the quality of your life that you can directly control. Lifting is more important for aging men than anyone else. So do your squats and dreads and stay strong. When/if I get to 90 I better still be pulling at least 4pl8

It really does make sense that you can't afford to trains 6 days a week when you're in your thirties with a family and a career but to stop lifting all together because youre older is one of the stupidest reason someone could come up with

Every man should aim for at least 2-3 days of exercise a week, either it be weight lifting, climbing, martial arts, etc

If you need six days a week in the gym to make gains, you're fluffing around. Plus if you're sacrificing gym time for your career, & you have a family, then you'll have your roots planted & will have secure housing & good disposable income so could get a power rack or smith machine in your garage & just go to the gym a couple of times a week to do leg curls & shit like that

Yes, we lift and then go about with our lives.
If a zoomer lifts and no one sees it on social media, does he still get gains?

People are more interested in bodybuilding than powershitting. Nothing new especially considering the pipeline if 95% of peoples fitness journey is failing at bodybuilding and becoming a powershitter.

          It unironically is though.

You have to increase your weight to get better at powerlifting

You HAVE to do Bench/Squat/Deadlift, most people cant even perform these lifts properly to begin with

          Meanwhile with bodybuilding....

You can do ANY lift you want

You can bodybuild at ANY weight

Yes you still use progressive overload, but the speed at to which you progressively overload is nowhere near that of a powerlifter who is purely specific on the numbers on the bar and nothing else

Bodybuilding is way more relaxed and simple, Powerlifting is far more autistic and specific.

If you are a Millennial, you gotta start getting into some less selfabsorbed shit.

Lift for health and well being, get a good job and a family.

Because most millennial channels are fat powershitters, and people have realised that powerlifting is fricking trash for getting aesthetic.

Is the lifting vault guy actually moronic or something.
It's more than just being ESL, but maybe he's just bad at reading from a script.
His videos are so boring and his voice is so shit I don't know why anyone would willingly watch him.
He's basically the DDOI of lifting but worse somehow.

Younger guys are simply more entertaining because they have more time for lifting shenanigans and are more in touch with the current internet culture. Most entertaining millenial influencers are in another stage of their lives now with families, busy careers or simply lost the YouTube game and left.

Fat dudes lifting heavy weights is a niche. It will never be as appealing as a kid having fun and going insane at the gym while being able to understand the internet culture better. That said, I do believe that proportionally, zoomers lift a lot more than millenials. Most people at my gym are zoomers or old people trying to retain some of their remaining physical capacity. I'd say millenials are the ones I see less frequently. Although they sort of started the ball rolling for what eventually became the widespread gym culture we have today, so credits for that
