Obviously false if done correctly. They're supposed to complement squats and leg presses focusing on the extended half of the ROM if you're going all the way down trying to get a stretch you're a moron and deserve old man knees.
I have shit knees from too much running, hiking, and trail-running up and down mountains. What am I supposed to do for leg exercises? What's the best way to get big legs when I have shitty knees? I was planning on doing leg extensions but doing high-rep low-weight. Is there a better way?
i have fricked knees too, and am always trying to find new leg workouts that avoid a lot of knee movement
but really nothing hits the spot while avoiding knees
i'm starting to think that it might be a better idea to try and focus on fixing the knees before even attempting more leg exercises
even if it requires some type of surgery. it's just not worth doing low quality leg exercises anymore

You should just do regular leg excercises, you will either strengthen the supporting muscles enough where it's no longer a concern or frick your knees up so a doctor has to fix them
Squat is the hardest lift there is. Frick, if you go on 80% of your maxes, it still kills you. Meanwhile, your 80% dl or bench or whatever feel so smooth and easy... Squats are for the DIFFICULT
Maybe I'm weird but I enjoy squatting more than things like leg presses. I squat relatively low weights, but I enjoy a 60kg squat so much more than a 60 kg leg press.

I fricking hate leg presses, most of them are the incline type with the horrible "safety" that you can't actually engage if you fail a rep, it feels like getting into a fricking death trap. I'd much rather just squat.
... if it's what I think you're talking about, you're supposed to just leave that safety always engaged. Then if you fail, it falls onto the safety. Like when you do bench press in the squat rack so it catches it if you fail
Of course, but you can't use as much weight (you also dont have to) and you can't add weight as frequently as you can his back squats. Split Squats/ lunges are an accessory, but they very well could be your main leg movement.
In other news I get irrationally mad whenever I go to the gym and see some moron zoomer walking around sucking on a chain because he saw some guy on tiktok doing it and thought it was cool.
I'm the only person at my gym who sweats. The gym owner was shocked when I first signed up. He started enforcing towel mandates and putting signs around the gym. "Coincidentally" I also outlift everyone else there. This is a crossfit type of gym no less, even when doing their gay circuits they use so little intensity they can't even break a sweat.
At a high enoigh weight to make it worth it, leg extensions hurt my fricked up knee. It's not a natural movement for the body. Knee never hurts from leg press or squats.
Bad for your knees obviously
But to be honest, I’d rather max out the leg extension than do heavy high rep squats

You assume the homosexuals on leg extensions even squat, let alone at a high enough weight for extensions to support them
literally no one ever got knee problems from leg extensions and every squatter homosexual has knee problems

it never gets not heavy as you get stronger
you just move heavier weights faster

>a 60 kg leg press
Lolwut

No you aren't, if you do that it won't let the weight come down far enough.

I like squatting, I don't like deadlifts.
My gyms leg extension machine only goes up to 120kg so I have to do really high reps with it.
just do them one leg at a time
Mine goes up to 315. I’ve done them for 10 once
In other news I get irrationally mad whenever I go to the gym and see some moron zoomer walking around sucking on a chain because he saw some guy on tiktok doing it and thought it was cool.
>sucking on a chain
Uhhh…what?
putting their necklace in their mouth. i see moron zoomers doing this all day too.
i don't think i've ever seent a zoomer do this before
although this probably means i'll see two or three doing it tonight
I did that in the 90s because I liked the taste, tarnishes it to frick
>and these "zoomers", are they in the room with us right now?
Someone should teach them bulgarian split squats
>wearing a belt while doing leg extensions
do zoomers really
Sam sneedlick told them to belt themselves to the machine. I guess he assumes the average zoomer’s grip strength is equivalent to an old lady
That guy looks about 35
why do people wear over-ear headphones when they work out? don't they end up getting all sweaty?
Don’t care. We go jim fr fr
In ears keep falling out

It hurts my shins
You can't lower the pad?
Then it hurts the top of my foot.
Quit being a b***h then you fricking homosexual
I mean I still do them that is just why I don't like them.
Yours goes up to 315kg? Damn. I usually just do 3 sets of 20reps with 120kg right after back squatting, then I hop on the seated calf raise.
315 lbs
>pov
>it's in the third person
zooms are just trolling at this point
TikTok has surpassed IST in terms of irony.
It's not irony though. They're actually moronic, not pretending to be.
>Why do zoomers think leg extensions are the worst?
easiest pump to get
They don't look very functional.
.t zoom
they must not do bulgarians
