they're dyels.
If SS is done right it can bring your squat from 135lbs to 405lbs in 2 months. That's roughly how long the program is done. After that you move on to a different program.
but then again, everyone who does ppl or any other le balanced science based™ program also looks like straight fricking ass.
whoever convinced people they should strife for a balanced physique with equal development caused an entire generation of lackluster bodies because it doesn't actually look good, it just makes you look like a bloated gymcel potato that has nothing going for him.
because it fricking sucks
nobody wants to become an obese tard with huge glutes, hips, upper thighs, and nothing else
stop trying to be special, just run PPL, UL, full body, or a bro split
imagine ruining your physique and wasting your noob gains because you let some obese cuckold texan psyop you

Whiplash reactionary thing. SS was touted as the best and only beginner program for years here, in the process getting a little dogmatic (some anons anyway), but now people are moving away from that opinion and I've with anything here cantvjust be normal about it and have to yell. SS versus other programs has also been a point of argument between powershitter and aesthetics losers for forever.
SS is a solid beginner routine and the book does a good job of describing basic principles of strength training. The book also includes numerous assistance and isolation movements. SS + chin ups & dips and minus one day of squats (so squatting twice weekly instead) is literally the perfect noob routine. HOWEVER you can do literally ANY popular routine and do very well for yourself. See the ACSM's position papers for the underlying principles of strength training: the routine is less important than how you do it, assuming you're not being a moron and curling every day (in the squat rack)
i hate it because people here are like "IT GIVES YOU A BASE OF STRENGTH" 0% of people come here looking for strength, people work out for looks
i never in my life did squats and deadlifts and shit and i always looked good because of doing brosplits, SS makes you progress backwards by getting fat, the very first things you should do to start weightlifting are lift splits for muscles that show.
How come people like you never actually explain yourselves? Like you might have a valid point but you just cut yourself before you get to it. I blame attention grabbing titles being ubiquitous

Ah I see, so one of the main problems is people extending the past 2 months.
