Depends on what kind of shit you gave going on in your life. 28 was a good time for me, too, then came a few grim years, and now at 36 I have another great time. People are afraid of getting older because they think they can't have fun anymore, but in reality everything they think is fun only deprives them from the truly great experiences.

My theory is that a lot of people talk about how shit their life is after their youth. They probably let themselves go, married someone they shouldn't have, made dumb financial decisions, etc. There's an expectation that this happens for everyone but for a lot of us doing well, the fear passed and the realization that life is good sets in.

You can have a fun time and catch up on some stuff in your late 20’s and around 30, however you realistically only have a couple years to do that, sometime into your 30’s you will age rapidly. It just goes downhill from there until you die, there is no ‘prime’ anymore.

When cells reproduce, a small amount of data is lost each time. Much like a copy of a copy, it eventually begins to lose the integrity of the original. In practice, this means that around the age of 28, approximately, you are no longer replacing cells effectively, which marks the point at which you are now "dying" rather than maintaining the previous integrity.

28 is actually the cut off for life being good. Your prime was 15-26 but you can maybe, with some cope, push it to maybe like 28 or 30 at the max levels of cope I guess

You can live to 100+ and still be as active as a 30 year old as long as you stay active the whole time. The reason old age sucks is because people sacrifice their health to work sedentary jobs that pay better. When the office wagie is effectively dead if they miss a check up once they turn 50. Whereas someone who was active their life can do fine until their 80s. There's literally an island by Greece where all the local inhabitants live 90-110 years old while still being fit enough to do farm work.

At 16, really? That's pretty crazy. No, I'm late bloomer with many things, but I learn and improve fast. If I had to rate myself I would say that I feel like slightly slow 27 year old rather than the 23 year old parasite I used to be. My greatest strength is that I rebuilt my confidence from scratch, so it's something I can rebuild or maintain much easier than before. I can say I'm happy and hopeful for the future, I see so many of my peers who don't have their spark right now.
