He's probably an AEWtist. Story and character arcs confuse him. I'll put things in terms he can understand: Rock's match at Wrestle Kingdom got ****** while Roman's only got ****1/2.
>Yes, its a last ditch effort to convince people that Roman is half the star Rock was by having Rock pretend to acknowledge him
Exactly. Roman has been overpushed since day 1 and this is a continued attempt to get him over and salvage this shit story ... and it's a decent attempt actually. Cody versus the Bloodline and the Rock sets up the story they wanted to tell before the fans pushed for Cody ... the Rock versus Roman. It's solid a solid story actually and sets up a Rock face turn post Cody/WM, if that's the direction they go. There are tons of curve balls they could throw in there. This is the first time in years that Roman has been mildly interesting. He's still shit and needs to frick off already, but at least the Rock has salvaged this massive pile of dogshit.
My real guess is that deep down he is feeling shoot insecure about being there, he knows that the Rock is 10x times the star he will ever be and this expression comes out.
He thinks that the Rock didn't really acknowledge him and is a threat to his position as the head of the table, he thinks that the Rock is trying to set everyone against him and overthrow him. On the other side the Rock is genuinely supports him, and tries really hard to prove his loyalty to the tribal chief and it will really break his heart if Roman turns on him
Jokes aside: Do we know what Roman did and he achieved such an energetic and dominating aura during these 3-4 years? When did the change take place? During his cancer away time?
They're like stage props who are there to serve as the background setting for the story (main story being Brock, Cody, and now Rock)
Also they lifted him up, he wouldn't be as highly regarded by marks if it wasn't for them
I understand, but those people/things aside something change in Romans IRL mentality too, you could see it in his eyes, he became lot more confident and his mannerisms, the look in his eyes and general aura became a lot more grounded and serious.
Something happened, he had a change of character, probably IRL too, he wasn't the scared overpushed guy, he legit looked like someone who thought that he deserved what he was given.
I'm guessing it's the meshing of both being gassed up backstage, and also in storyline
No doubt the Usos and Vince were telling him he's That Dude from way before, and so when the on-screen reflects that as well it's hard not to get a big confidence boost
Also the locker room probably respects him a lot since he became a moneymaker for the company, and Roman embrace the leader role in totality
>I understand, but those people/things aside something change in Romans IRL mentality too, you could see it in his eyes, he became lot more confident and his mannerisms, the look in his eyes and general aura became a lot more grounded and serious.
He gets to work and do promo on his terms rather than having to go off Vince's dogshit corny scripts and the crowd actually engages with him and plays along with his bit rather than booing every time he rears his head up. He's probably just in a better mood/feels better about his job.
The Rock is the ultimate Narcissist. We've seen it manifest in WWE, in Hollywood, and in random social media posts where he responds to criticism.
If you listen to his promos, despite calling the fans crackhead cry babies, he's also putting himself over as a Babyface. Rock is shoot pissed about losing the Main Event at Wrestlemania, and he does not like getting booed. But he's still professional enough to do business, however he's going to continue to set himself up for a big Babyface turn after Roman stabs him in the back. Even though, whats Best For Business, would be the opposite and setting up Roman for a Babyface turn after The Rock turns on him. And that might've been the original plan, but not after Cody and the fans embarrassed The Rock by showing everyone that, right now, in the WWE, Cody is a bigger star than The Rock.
>Yeah the shitter who bombs every solo promo is the bigger star KWAB
Salty Cody isn't still in AEW aren't we troony? How many millies have you had since Cody left?
>Cody is a bigger star than The Rock
In the wrestling world, at this point, yes. In the context of the entertainment industry in general, no fricking way.
How do you morons not understand?
He's been demanding people acknowledge him for years.
Rock shows up, and he takes a backseat.
No one acknowledges him anymore.
Cody VS Roman is Cody finishing his story, and Rock VS Roman starting theirs.
character work, he's selling to the audience that he's insecure about having his cousin come out and big league him in this cody conflict, likely building to a feud between Rock and Roman proper.
He's nowhere near his level despite being pushed for so many years.
this
but also this
Is that why Roman forced The Rock to acknowledge him?
How much more do you need it spelled out for you? Are you unironically 11?
He's probably an AEWtist. Story and character arcs confuse him. I'll put things in terms he can understand: Rock's match at Wrestle Kingdom got ****** while Roman's only got ****1/2.
Yeah this is it. Quite a lot of this thread is just AEWtists being utterly baffled by storytelling.
He doesn’t understand subtly.
>Is that why Roman forced The Rock to acknowledge him?
holy frick. do you think this is real and isn't part of a story?
Wrestling is real, mark
Yes, its a last ditch effort to convince people that Roman is half the star Rock was by having Rock pretend to acknowledge him

roman is like HHH
>massive push
>zero charisma
He had to take a shit and Rock was taking too long with his fricking promo.
He knows he's the jannetty
He's clearly feeling threatened by his presence
My real guess is that deep down he is feeling shoot insecure about being there, he knows that the Rock is 10x times the star he will ever be and this expression comes out.
He's the Miz in a Rock/Cena feud
The Jannetty Face
He's flashing back to the Rumble.
What happened here?
Roman was booed in the winter of '15, I'm afraid.
The Rock just saps away any aura he had and he knows it.
It's true. He gets mogged so hard when they're out there together.
just a set up for when it's revealed that dwaynes true loyalty is with the bullet club
How much would tony need to offer him to be there?
Cody did the gun hand when he won the rumble I think you’re on to something there
BANG BANG POONTANG GANG
he misses Ambrose
Roman overacts and is bad at acting
He thinks that the Rock didn't really acknowledge him and is a threat to his position as the head of the table, he thinks that the Rock is trying to set everyone against him and overthrow him. That interruption pissed off Rock. He's clearly turning on Roman at WM
Jokes aside: Do we know what Roman did and he achieved such an energetic and dominating aura during these 3-4 years? When did the change take place? During his cancer away time?
He got propped up by Heyman, Usos, and Zayn
>propped
What does that mean?
They're like stage props who are there to serve as the background setting for the story (main story being Brock, Cody, and now Rock)

so you don't know

I see thanks.

He had to sit through a 31 min promo. He, like any other normal human being, was probably bored out of his mind.
It's called acting and they're building their one on one match
his retirement run is getting completely overshadowed by some egomaniac homosexual that doesnt give a shit about wrestling or roman
Rock wasn't 100% with the Bloodline. Coming out separate, wearing $10,000 shirts, glasses, doing Rocky things, not acknowledging the Tribal Chief.
I take it you've never seen any Mafia movies. It doesn't matter if the outsider is doing good work. If he's not loyal to the Don he's dead.
he's a terrible actor
thinkgn about hard to pronounce words
Shoot depressed after reading the "Rock double-crosses Roman at Mania" script

Rock did the "point finger up then point my thumb at Roman for a moment" again

This entire story is too confusing, I can't figure out anyone's motivations and endgoals and I just shit my pants
>wrestling storyline is confusing
This is cinema in the making. WWE got us on the edge again.
>This entire story is too confusing
maybe on planet moron
Babyface turn
Anybody that says cinema wrt wrestling is a mark moron
Because Rock had not yet Acknowledged him, pay attention bro.
That's the story.
because hes shit and even he knows it
ITT: mentally ill people that can't separate a storyline intended for entertainment from reality.
>rocky in white
>roman in black
>this is the last time they spoke as friends
its like poetry
