I do dumbbell OHP with lower weights. a few years back, I actually ended with mild sleep apnea caused by bulking and because I trained my shoulders and neck too much and my body fat went too high (like 24%). Since I don’t want to be hooked up to a CPAP, I got lean ASAP and stopped doing OHP barbell and intentionally lost some neck muscle and my sleep apnea went away.
According to what I've read on IST: >No one at the gym deadlifts >No one at the gym squats >No one at the gym does OHP >No one at the gym does skullcrushers >No one at the gym curls >No one at the gym uses the leg press >No one at the gym does pulldowns >No one at the gym uses the cable machine
What sort of gyms do you people go to? Is it just a bunch of treadmills and dudes benching?
I deadlift 4pl8s 3x3 at mu commercial gym for aesthetics (meaty back, posture) and the cardiobunnies always mire me. Maybe it’s an instinct about being near by an alpha male.
literal zero ROI with only potential downsides
High risk, low reward
Unnecessary lift for most people when it comes to aesthetics. Deadlifts are more appropriate for powerlifters and roid-trannies.
I lift for aesthetics and longetivity… I don’t do shit that will risk injuring me. I literally don’t do squats or deadlifts and I look and feel great
What’s your opinion on barbell overhead press (OHP)?

Aside from overdevelopment of neck or whatever, is the lift (OHP) itself dangerous like a deadlift with a high risk of injury?
Why would you ask some weak, mouth-breathing moron for advice?
dl is a meme lift for powershitters to lift the heaviest weight possible. for the rest of us there are squats and skipping leg day
I deadlift cause it fries my body. If I leave the gym not feeling sore I feel I wasted my time.
Been injured too many times. I’ll deadlift again but never heavy.
It's in the name -- they all died!
Why would you ever do deadlifts unless you're a powershitter or a necromancer?
I see plenty of people deadlifting at mine, depends on the local culture I suppose
I only do one set
>never strengthen your weaknesses
>injure yourself ego lifting once
deadlifting is dangerous bros!
personally I only deadlift once a week, don't see much point in doing it more since I don't really lift anything heavier than 200lbs in my day to day.

I'm the only guy at my gym who actually lifts. Everyone else thinks they are lifting but they arent
Planet fitness or some third world euro gym where no one knows what they are doing

cause you go to the gym with a bunch of fricking dyels
