I don't understand why you guys are so mad about it. I started it for the first time since two weeks and a half ago and I'm already down 4kg (roughly 9lbs) and feel incredible (my bicep veins are significantly more pronounced, which is proof it's not only water weight).
On top of that I'm incredible sharper mentally (to the point I no longer need adhd meth) and much less anxious or ruminating.
So what's so wrong about it ? I understand people get angry about the cultist aspect of it but I don't think there's anything wrong about cutting sugar and grains.
I mostly eat lean meats, green beans, broccoli and eggs, olive oil and butter,coke zero or monster zero once in a while. I shit much less than I used to do and am not as bloated.
I don't count macros or calories, I just eat until satiated and thats it. With a rough estimate I just know I'm under 50g of carbs a day.

When you eat carbs it raises insulin. When your insulin is elevated your body can't use fat even though it wants to. This causes you to run out of glycogen and therefore energy much faster.
The best diet for endurance is zero carb. Your body can create all the glucose it needs and is able to freely use as much fatty acids and ketones as it wants.

you lost weight because you're eating less calorically dense foods. you feel focused and energetic because you lost weight. you are feeling better because you are thinking about your new diet and how good it makes you feel. it's not the diet doing it(but not eating cheeseburgers 3 times per week certainly helps). you can get the same euphoria and weight loss by still eating pasta. just don't eat half the fricking box for dinner and continue to make the majority of your meals healthy meats and some fruits/vegetables. I'm not saying this to be a dick or anything but keto isn't some type of magic it's just an easy way for fatties to lose weight quickly because they don't have to ween themselves off of fats. I did the keto thing for ~3 years about 10 years ago and I gained the weight back quickly because diets are just that - they are temporary. especially all these bullshit fad ones. just shift towards healthier eating and eating slightly less it's much easier in the long term.
