      Im 184cm currently 68kg, in last two summers i went 65kg mostly because I swam 1,5km every other day.
      I cannot fast longterm. My body definition is fit, but when I get close to 65 I become skeleton and muscles, nice definition in legs but my ribs get clearly visible on my chest ect. I dont want to look like an auschwitz tenant.
      Also I just feel bad when I dont eat, I know its healthly when done right, but other than fasting when i have guts issues I couldnt do it for more than 1 day, during illness I could go maybe 3 days top.
      How the frick slim people should do it? I would just want it to counter inflamation, but even eating 1 time a day is to hard for me (like some meditation oriented gurus suggest). Its not even about cravings, but the fact that I feel like my body is just weaker overall, the same shit like when you dont drink enough water.

        Not that guy but I'm 37, 173cm/5'8" and 55-57kg. I don't really believe in the idea of getting older = getting fatter. It's just people loving to snack on stuff all day. I barely even exercise, just do some push ups before and after bed. I used to just do cardio when I went to the gym (rowing machine and stair master). I also have like 1 or 2 Monsters a day, they're my one vice.

      I want to believe this meme. But the idea that humans going long periods of time without food being the norm doesn’t seem to be the reality. Sure, they ate less than we do now, but it doesn’t seem like they were regularly going 24 hours + without food barring unusual circumstances. I watched a documentary on some tribe in Papau New Guinea and they were eating regularly throughout the day. It didn’t look appealing- literal grubs, sago starch balls, etc., but they were eating. Same with eskimos, early contact native Americans, San people, etc. seems like one of those midwit ideas that make sense on a shallow consideration but don’t stand up to more rigorous consideration

                Get an inversion table, pullup bar, slant board and foam roller. Stretching and hanging are massive. Just bench and use cables ofr your shoulders. Getting wide shoulders is pretty easy all things considered. Just lift a ton, do shadowboxing, use your arms.                 Obviously if you are trying to build muscle then you will need to plan your fasts around that.

                I would say take snake juice as well but Ive fasted for 7 days without it before and it wasn't that hard. After all Christ fasted for 40 days in the desert. If you're just walking around while fasting and boosting HGH it will change your body in ways unimaginable

      Having coffee doesn't break fast, having low blood sugar levels means your body will dissolve your muscle for glycogen to get sugars directly to the blood stream as efficiently as possible and it will do that every single time if it has to. So, it's ok for your coffee or tea to have some milk or sugar in it as well.     Had a 2 week period in which I worked in a steel mill.
    It was 40C outside, inside it was even warmer due to steel being heated up and humidity was 100% due to water being sprayed on the steel.
    I put on about 10h of work on a average day, sometimes staying in the steel mill for 12h.
    In those 2 weeks I ate 2 loafs of bread, a small 50g chicken pate each day and 2kg of apples. In the first week I lost 10kg of weight, in the second week I maintained my weight. Never felt better, happier or healthier.
    Went from 90kg to 80kg. I'm also 190cm.

      A good trick is to keep drinking water/coffee/tea so your stomach is full, it helps with the hunger-pains. Also those pains go away after a while.

        I did a 3 day fast once and the recovery afterwards was not worth it. I lost so much strength and it took months to regain it despite the fact that I was continuing my weight training throughout my fasting days without any loss in strength until breaking my fast on the 3rd day.

        I do not recommend it for many other reasons. You do not entirely lose hunger, your stomach is constantly asking you for food much less by the 2nd day, there is no good "high" feeling, you won't shed any significant weight at all, it's stressful and requires lots of willpower, and you will lose lots of strength.

Especially if you don't get enough exercise (like WFH slobs who don't walk even 100 meters during the day) then you're just getting into ketosis, feel low on energy and hungry.     Evolutionary tactic. If you are eating, then you are already successful, as a caveman. If you are not, then you need to improve. This means break down damaged tissue, build up new tissue, etc etc. "If it aint broke, dont fix it", ie, if you are well fed, dont release catabolic hormoens to break down damage and then anabolic hormones to rebuild it, but if you are fasting, maybe you need to get smarter, stronger, faster, heal damage etc, as a last ditch effort to make you hwalthy enough to start living again befire you atarve to death. Also our bodies evolved to expect it, the people we descended from did not eat 3 square plus snacks, they had fucning gaps in their eating and our bodies use those gaps to do "housework" so to speak, clean things up. Never fast = never clean the house

    You've been memed.
    Your normal diet is so toxic that short fasting periods allow your body to detox.
    But to intake normal amounts of nutrients and calories to be healthy and function with lots of energy you must either eat clean expensive food or eat larger quantity of toxic cheap food.
    Its a catch22.
    Better spend 4K calories and eat 4K calories of clean food.
    Then to vegetate and only spend 2K calories and eat 2K of toxic food.

        Don't know about Canada but here we still have real clean meat, fish, eggs, dairy and fruits. Same for tomatos and cabbage and rice and potatos and beans.
        Its not easy to avoid toxic food.
        Buying 2Kg of trout and preparing it is more expensive and time consuming than just buying 2Kg of carp or 10 cans of tuna. Finding a pig in the villages and buying it getting it slaughtered and butchered is harder then just buying meat at the supermarket.
        Same goes for real clean eggs, real tomatos...
        Same goes for everything but you get it I guess.
        I see people buy sliced bread packaged in plastic with e472 and e250 because they are lazy to buy ordinary clean bread that requires slicing with your knife and has no additives.
