the actual reason is that rice is lower calorie for the weight. Pasta will make you fatter. Even when bulking most people aren't trying to get fat.

you can buy instant rice that just requires nuking in the microwave.
haven't seen any instant pasta yet that can do the same.
also i don't eat rice i eat sweet potato coz rice triggers my numbers autism

However pasta is super normal in bulking diets

this. when I PT people I tell them to shop for their meat first(you can often find heavily reduced meat in AU, i love that about this place), then think about what carb they want to make it into a meal and add veggies. That said, newbies often give a blank stare even keeping it this simple.

I got a meat grinder and make my own lean pork mince I use for spaghetti often. It's pretty nice for bulking but I prefer whole slow roasted sweet potatoes as my staple carb most of the time.

The simple answer if that you're a cooklet and don't know any recipes that involve chicken and pasta. There's plenty. Fettuccini alfredo is very often paired with chicken.
The longer answer is that rice and chicken combine nicely because they take a similar amount of time to cook (assuming you browned the chicken first) and rice absorbs the water it cooks in rather than boiling in it like pasta. If you were to add chicken to pasta water you'd end up with boiled pasta. So if you're going to make a dish with pasta and chicken, you need to cook each separately first, which is sadly too much effort for most people.

I do this. Idk what the issue is. Count your calories for it into macros if you want to have more just go on a fricking walk or two to offset it. I find it super filling, hit my goals whether it’s cutting or bulking pretty easily. Pasta isn’t bad especially if you make it all from scratch. Just practice portion control, you don’t need to have a family sized serving…

        I do, it’s good.

I do, cry about it Luigi

Simmer down Da’Quaron Beasley. Black Americans only good food is the macaroni and cheese. Everything else you fat morons make is just throw 1000 spices in random (usually large) amounts with no logic behind it and add butter and then say it’s good because of all the tastes from the various spices. The only good black food is that of Caribbean folk (Bahamian, Haitian, Jamaican, etc) which largely has ties and influence from Europe anyways.
You morons also call it spicy or hot when it’s not it’s just a shitty choice of spices and seasonings that don’t mix well. Try eating Carolina reaper if you want to make “muh okay mayonnaise is too spicy for you” argument

??? Boiling pasta takes about as much time as boiling rice, a little less. Making chicken and pasta takes the same time as making chicken and rice. Just boil the pasta, put it on a plate and throw some sauce or ketchup on it.

I think the assumption is that pasta has a higher GI value than rice since it's a more processed grain product. I don't know if it does nor do I really care
