the can in the OP is a flavor that has been largely discontinued. It tasted like cherry with hints of raspberry and forest fruit. I didnt like it at first but it really started growing on me, and then it got discontinued. sad!

Coffee is hot water poured over crushed beans. Energy drinks are sugar and other chemicals mixed with caffeine. The original monsters have like 75 grams of sugar in them. They're essentially just soda with more caffeine. That being said I still enjoy them, I've been doing Celcius lately.

I buy 200ml energy drinks from a local supplement company. It's basically a preworkout
legal limits on caffeine per fl oz, red bulls have about as much caffeine as two Cokes, reigns on the other have have like 315mg or something which I believe is right at the limit, because if you put any more people will inevitably chug one for tiktok and die of a heart attack or something

In my country(Brazil) I can only find two types of Monster energy drinks without sugar

i was 4 days sober but i bought 2 yesterday
its so good
1) sugar - quite obvious but there are low/no sugar versions so just stck with these
2) scary chemicals - coffee has way more and the roasting process generates compounds that are known to be carcinogenic but big coffee managed to scrub this from the internet
3) THE REAL CULPRIT: monster has way too much vitamin b3. If you stick to 1 can per day, it is no problem but lots of people chug 3-4 or even more of these per day. consuming 10x the daily recommended amount every day causes predominantly irreversible liver damage followed by liver failure among other symptoms.
Personally, i open a can every 2-4 days and enjoy every sip of it insted of furthering my caffeine addiction.
