I experienced literally the opposite effect, perhaps because I put in the amount of water I usually use for microwaving it (100g oatmeal : 625mL water)

Happiness derives from happenings. If small things like a nice meal bring you happiness, you're on your way to a good and meaningful life. Happiness isn't always there, but being grateful for these things always help along the way. Enjoy.

IST useless as always. soaking gets rid of the phytic acid so it aids nutrient absorption. cooking does too but at the cost of vitamins.

So then do you have to rinse them after soaking ?

If you eat them the next morning in the milk/water you soaked them in you are still eating the released phytic acid right ?

        Anonymous

No need for rinsing, it isn't in the soaking liquid.
Soaking is mainly done to enzymatically breakdown phytica acid.

with whey powder 25g, some cinnamon, 3oz berries like blueberry, and if youre a huge pig, about 10g honey. stir the whey in well first. in the morning the whey ferments a bit and makes the end result a creamier airy like yogurt.

Why would you eat oats at all? Do you like being bloated and gassy? Yeah, it's actually a good thing when your stomach does that - it's totally a sign that what you're eating is very good for you. You just need to eat it more. And no, it's NOT full of pesticides - that's misinformation.

      >Do you like being bloated and gassy?
Literally doesn't happen, sorry to hear about your genetic inferiority. Any healthy individual should be able to digest fibre without getting bloated or gassy. Are you the IBS homosexual who fuds fibre every thread? Should I listen to Black folk about cheese being bad because they can't digest dairy?

      >And no, it's NOT full of pesticides
It's not, assuming you don't live in a third world country like USA. Here we have pesticide-free options. Might as well say don't eat meat because it's ALL full of hormones just because (you) can't find organic alternatives.

Primo example of the sort of measured, non-inflamed response you may expect from the average grains-consoomer. You may want to lay off the tap water. Or maybe not, in your case it might not make a difference.

Not water, milk or any mild acid. Makes the b vitamins and other micros more digestible. Oats on paper have good micros but in reality you seldom get much of them.
