Will quitting weed make me gain weight? 3.5k a day omly amounts to about 1-2 pounds a month and I can't keep it up. If I eat normally at 2.5-3k I end up losing a pound a week until planting at 145(5'9) I can't bring myself to do anymore and I'm starting to think it's beacuse of the weed. While it does make u more hungry, at first, after a decade of abuse I'm starting to think it's got rebound effects. My body doesn't store fat so any weight I can gain is purley muscle..

I am a stoner, you will lose insane weight in the first week. But then your hunger is stabilized, but i would say its worse than munchies.

Happy Hanukkah! How bad is weed compared to alcohol? I’m very lightweight when it comes to drugs

Yes weed screws with appetite overtime. Especially prolonged use, it's to do with your hunger hormone ghrelin, weed either inhibits this or tricks your body into not responding properly. It eventually leads to feeling outright nausea when trying to eat large amounts of food in the worst cases. Go cold turkey for at least 3 months to fully clear it out of your system. The fricked appetite can stick around for upwards of a month but you'll be absolutely ravenous after a bit once your hormones even out again. It also screws with testosterone production, this is highly debated but anytime I've taken extended time off weed I've felt my pump, strength gain and overall energy in the gym was significantly increased. Stay strong and stay away from the bong brody.

To add to this, you may feel minor "withdrawal symptoms" as comical as that sounds for something as minute as weed it is real. Expect mild irritability and emotional instability, brain fog and chills, this is normal and goes away after 2 weeks. You will also have INSANE dreams around the 2 week mark. As your brain is now getting deeper REM sleep.

I used to smoke 24/7 and stopped half a year ago. Never felt better. Motivation increased, appetite increased, creativity increased, anxiety decreased.

Smoking once in a while is fun, but once you start smoking all day every day, the fun is over. Your brain is changed and weed is going to suck the life out of you. It's never going to be the same again, anon.

Make peace with it and quit.
