Working out alone fucking sucks

How do you solo bros do it? I know it’s all in my mind and shit, but I feel so demotivated whenever a friend drops out of the gym sessions on me. I’ve been reading in between sets to keep myself occupied, but it really just isn’t as fulfilling as having someone telling me “NICE” after pushing out on a set. I’ve been trying to stay consistent for the first time alone for the past month, but this shit is a daily thought in here.

Is there a Facebook for gym friends that won’t get me killed? Hell, even if I were to play the motivator, as long as I have someone relying on me during the work and just able to shoot the shit. Help me

      No, but I've never been a gym rat, and the only exercise I used to do was cross country back in high school, so that might be what’s adding to it. I had a friend who was going with me consistently and lost like 50 lbs to try and win a bet against me, but he ended up giving up. Also found out the fat frick was talking to my ex behind my back, but that’s not relevant to him giving up

    i feel the same way with programming
    love having a bro to program with in the same room
    lifting you just gotta remember that you feel better when you workout regularly. if you have other things going on in your life and you know that lifting helps, eventually you'll realize that you just gotta do it. it's in the next room, just go do it. feelsgoodman

    training partner is literally a distraction, it's fine tho if it happens occasionally, like to test maxes or do some goofy shit together, other than that when i train alone i am 100% focused on the training, unlike when i go with friend/s

    If you need a buddy to hit the weights, perhaps lifting isn't for you. Alternatively, you can buy a cheap, used home gym and work out at home in your underwear or buy an mp3 player and have music to get you through it.

    You either like lifting for the sake of it or you don't. Find an activity/sport you like and do that instead, you'll never be able to compete with tards like me that genuinely get fricking excited by picking something up and putting it down again for the 100th time this month, only 5lbs heavier this time.
    I don't mean to be derogatory, I'm extroverted too and shoot the shit with regulars in the gym too. But they are like minded, we're both on our solo quest that sometimes just happen to overlap with no expectations.
