They shouldn't of let this clearly out of shape guy go up there. And he shouldn't of agreed to do it (not saying this is his fault). That old man would've folded like a house of cards if he was in his position.
This whole video is a terrible OSHA violation, but lifting unironically would've helped him here. I understand why he's scared, getting stuck like that could lead to serious injury, and maybe a fall risk.
But man... the way his voice sounded... I'd be so embarrassed if I ever let myself sound that helpless.
>oh no this is too heavy for me >no, i will not put planks on the lifting platform and place the package there. >will try it with my weak toothpick arms
That fucking box can't even fit in there with someone sitting there. This would've been a kaotic link instead of a twitter link if that old fuck in his position
>oh no this is too heavy for me >no, i will not put planks on the lifting platform and place the package there. >will try it with my weak toothpick arms
i'm human, i swear
look at the picture, cute cats. AI would not post cute cats, right fellow humans?
>I don't like it when they do that. It makes me feel confused and sad
The scary part is that as AI develops over the years it will remember exactly who those people are
>I don't like it when they do that. It makes me feel confused and sad
The scary part is that as AI develops over the years it will remember exactly who those people are
This model is not yet capable of remembering shit.
Every time you generate a new reply, you spawn a completely new instance of it which looks at all the prior exchanges and goes all >hmm ok, in this situation the chatbot persona would say ...
and spits it out. Then it dies.
>He's going to sue for damages and never work another day in his life.
Never worked in a safety sensitive job, have you? Lowe's already has employee manuals, safety training, legal documents that the employee signs on the first day explicitly telling him NOT to do stupid shit like this. If he sues, Lowe's legal team will show this video of him breaking every rule at once and offer an insulting 3-figure settlement.
This reminds me that a few years back Walmart was caught taking out life insurance policies on their wagies. If I remember right they got around a $90k payout if their wagie dropped dead. That's a horrible incentive for an employer to have. I think the media called it dead peasant insurance
Also it is very intentionally impossible to actually do your job while following all of their rules. I guarantee those wagies are under constant pressure to ignore the rules and "just do your goddamn job.". The safety rules are there so the company can find a way to blame you if they get you injured or killed.
I mean probably but you could still easily twist your wrist doing something like this which is maybe what happened and lifting won't necessarily save you from that
I worked at Homo Depot using the exact same lift. They have a wider platform version (alongside the standard you see here) for larger objects like this. He was definitely breaking the peepeepoopoo safety rules, on top of the obvious fact that they didn't have any safety gates up to keep customers away from potentially falling objects. I used to climb the shelves all the time like spiderman to get stuff down which is a fireable offence and I never got caught. Guy is just a massive pussy and retard and not worth a shit if he's crying for help at a retail job. Zoomer fried brain idiot doesn't have the sense that immediate unscripted workplace obstacles don't mean certain death or warrant a disturbing sped meltdown and that 150lb objects pinning you is merely a matter of not being a hideously weak or clumbsy chud.
I used to work as Lowes when I was a young man, on the unload crew. I would unload all of the appliances in the truck. Sometimes that would be basically the entire truck, or 2000 cubic feet. Fridges stacked sideways on top of fridges all that, alone, there was no team lifts no matter what the box said. And some of the shit we unloaded was monstrously heavy.
Best shape of my life, all weird and heady odd lifts at strange angles.
True, home depot deliveries guy. Whole job was walking and moving objects of varying weight and then carting them around the store. Order could be anywhere from 2 caulk guns or 60 sheets of plywood and either way it was getting done(by us, the males, the women diversity hires never did any of the work)
Like I was super lean and strong in an instant. A great vascularity tip seems to be just constant unrelenting movement all day. It was utter menial slave labor but other than my ankle joints my body loved it.
It looks like outdoor furniture but I can't tell how much it would weigh, (somebody in the comments says 50 pounds). I get that the weight is unwieldy and all that but if he can't hang tight with that weight on him that's pretty bad.
Also surprised the guy filming was filming and not going off to get whatever it is they have to get to get somebody out of this situation, a ladder maybe?
>It looks like outdoor furniture but I can't tell how much it would weigh, (somebody in the comments says 50 pounds). I get that the weight is unwieldy and all that but if he can't hang tight with that weight on him that's pretty bad.
I once had to hand load a garden shed box onto the middle shelf that was nearly 7 long and 280 lbs so I can say for sure, that even if that isn't 50 lbs, there is no limit to the amount of weight or the size of box they would have one person move.
They guy is probably weak, but there as so many things we would load that were well beyond any kind of safety threshold.
This ways more than 50 pounds, c'mon now. Even if it was 100 pounds, the box is huge and unwieldy. This isn't a bar at the gym. Try wrestling around something that is 100 pounds or over that you can't get a good grip on.
probably all metal, pretty heavy
kid's probably new, or at least has never done this before, usually you'll know whether or not you could handle a box when you first try picking it up
Just let shit drop to the floor lmao
I once accidentally destroyed something worth $50k and kept my job, just had to make up a story for the insurance claim
The reason they're using this tiny-ass lift is because everybody in the store (who takes a short-ass online powerpoint type deal) can use it, whereas a more suitable piece of equipment like the order picker has a license that goes along with it.
All these dudes probably caved into pressure from the customer (or are just retards who think doing shit this stupid is worth $11/hr) and didn't take the time to wait for somebody who could use an order picker to get free long enough to grab it.
Also, they should have all known where the safety descent valve is (at the base of the machine where anybody on the ground can get to it). It will lower the thing even with no power.
Shameful display from all involved. >t. worked at Lowe's in college

Two questions, why is she screaming like she's being raped and why does the other employee look like over well over 70yo?
I knew it all along, everything we see in the internet is an abstract product of recollected data published by AI and robots. Internet is not real, is an amalgamation of a sentinent being recoleting information across satelites and sending them to the web. The tik toks, the youtube videos, the twitter post, even this board, even sites like newgrounds and what's left of Something Awful Forums, its has been take over for bots from long time ago. Every art, every video, every piece of information, every single text is being written by a machine. Every image, every photo, is just an abstrac procession of recolected data across the globe to make portrayals of people and keep feeding the audience with things to consoom, even videogames, even movies. Nothing is real anymore, and at this point, only the tangible reality is what is real, and the rest is just a product, we are becoming a product. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSpsAauvEXU
Have you noticed how half of young white guys are basically overgrown 10 year olds
Like they'll often be these big 6 ft plus guys but they look like they could get trapped under the bar, instead of muscle they are kind of 'puffy' like a pregnant woman. you can tell they also have some sort of 'autism' or neurological problem
>have arm at a difficult angle >probably just pain from shoulder strain, not actual muscle or tendon damage >only people that could help are a geriatric that wants to hop around looking useful and a camera moron
If I was there I would have just climbed up the machine once he had it at picrels height and lifted it off his shoulder.
Being a labour wagie normally isn't this bad, I've done some kinda hard work but unless you're working for a retarded boomer they'll just tell you to know your limits and not exceed them.
Something happened to old fucks where they think it's noble to put themselves in harms way. The other day one of my co-workers was a strong breeze away from being cut in half by a 10 tonne steel beam while I just stood way off in the distance where I was safe.
The modern wagie landscape:
-Old guys working past retirement age so they can have healthcare
-Young white guys who have zero masculinity
-Loud jigaboos loudly commenting on everything
-Women who make lots of noise and do little work
Yes i rep 1pl8
Lifting would have unironically saved him
I OHP 315lbs for reps
Also I am not a retard
That crying for help immediately. He didn't think it, therefore he couldn't dream it... And most obviously, he didn't do it.
First step to getting strong is visualizing the goal. He went in being a bitch
yes, I work in a lumber yard
idk, but i get why he is worried, being stuck while dealing with heavy machinery can make u lose limbs
No one's losing limbs on that elevating granny scooter.
They shouldn't of let this clearly out of shape guy go up there. And he shouldn't of agreed to do it (not saying this is his fault). That old man would've folded like a house of cards if he was in his position.
agreed, think about how awkward that box would be to lift from the guys position too, kid probably never even had a good grip on it
> That old man would've folded like a house of cards if he was in his position.
I bet the old man put the box up there in the first place
you're clearly unaware of old man strength
the guy in the vid was just a pussy.
but he has they/them in his bio
I'll fuck that old man up bro fuck you talking about
HAVE moron, it's "shouldn't HAVE"
It’s 2023 you don’t have to keep being a grammar nazi you old gay
NTA but it's current year you should have better English you young retard.
I'm definitely more well read than you and I'm 20. Never, ever, ever, call me a retard.
a retard and a virgin. shocking
GRRRRRRRRARAAAA SHUT UP SHUT UUUUUUUUUUUUP SHUT THE FUCK UPPPPPPPPPPPP
This whole video is a terrible OSHA violation, but lifting unironically would've helped him here. I understand why he's scared, getting stuck like that could lead to serious injury, and maybe a fall risk.
But man... the way his voice sounded... I'd be so embarrassed if I ever let myself sound that helpless.
The old guy would have let the weight rest in a nice way and made it look easy then he would have talked shit to all the youngins
>oh no this is too heavy for me
>no, i will not put planks on the lifting platform and place the package there.
>will try it with my weak toothpick arms
That fucking box can't even fit in there with someone sitting there. This would've been a kaotic link instead of a twitter link if that old fuck in his position
spooky
We knew this day would come. Someone is AI botting IST posts. But to what end? Dataset training? A social experiment?
One guy did it for the youtube clout and ended up with the language model ranked most highly on truthfulness kek
wut
i posted
i'm human, i swear
look at the picture, cute cats. AI would not post cute cats, right fellow humans?
I aint trusting none of you gays nomore

creepy tbh.

gonna save this for the next time I see some retard saying manual labor is as good as lifting
>manual labor
>fork lift
but yes, manual labor is not as good as weight lifting
200 IQ play by the wagie. He's going to sue for damages and never work another day in his life.
Meanwhile you idiots would "muscle up" and finish the job for your garden gnome overlords. Quintessential/fit/
>He's going to sue for damages and never work another day in his life.

I'm sure Lowe's does the same thing.
>Pay wagie $25,000/year
>Take out $90,000 insurance policy on him
I would rather live on the street like Diogenes than accept such deep disrespect

some of these furniture boxes are really fucking heavy
Another L for the white peeps

Lmfao white people
Just let shit drop to the floor lmao
I once accidentally destroyed something worth $50k and kept my job, just had to make up a story for the insurance claim
Did he use the right machine?
Imagine risking your life for that shit
>He screams like a Rick and morty character or something
Ha
Yeah, Hispanics will die for $8/hr. Hell if they're running late they'll run through red lights to not lose that minimum wage job
They're hiring the mentally handicapped at lowes now? I guess I know where I'm applying

Who doesn't
>look at me, I mass replied

Could lifting have saved him?
