>Eat 1g of protein per 1lb of ideal body weight every day
this is such moronic advice and people wont stop shitting it out
its unsustainable and entirely unnecessary, especially if youre still a twigboy
nta but it's the only thing that worked for me as a lifelong skeleton
I did gain fat because a surplus diet is indeed excessive, unsustainable etc etc.
but it DOES tell the body that it finally has the excess of energy to really grow.
you should switch to a lighter diet down the line and will likely continue to get gains, but a high protein diet was essential for me to kickstart the growth
I'm not too fond of getting to 20% body fat but it is what it is

hes right Im moronic and misinterpreted his meaning
1g per lb each day is reasonable enough
I believe in a very technical sense you can get by just fine on 0.8g of protein per pound, or 1 gram per kilogram of your weight which is slightly less than 1 gram per pound.
However the important thing is just to consume enough, because right now to be that twiglike they flat out aren't getting enough protein to begin with. Later down the line once they've got growth started they can do more balance with the diet and go easier, but to really enjoy the newbie gains you NEED protein and caloric surplus.
Do you really need that much protein? Serious question. I’m a vegetarian and only get about 30-40g per day. I thought protein over 100 g was bro science anyway.
You can't hide your tiny hands and skinny forearms. You'll never lift your arms wide enough to get a big Popeye anchor tattoo on your forearm is what I'm saying. One of the reasons I will never get a tattoo is my arms are bird mode forever. Any tattoo would look stupidly thin.
left was me (not an exaggeration) before i started lifting in 2014, bw 160 lb at 6'2 at the time. Now i am 205 - 210. you got this. 5x5 + gomad broke me out of skelly mode and grew my stomach so i could consoom more.
There was a theory I read in a book on Tai Chi that basically shakes out to it having something to do with more mental focus forcing the muscles to work harder, even when they're not as big. Imagine lifting with your brain. If there's some basedence behind it, probably something about neurotransmitters.
yea lift, unironically. without exception people who have toothpick arms "spam curls, spam this spam that" and who the frick would have thought, they are small. I have never seen a guy who has toothpick arms and he deadlifts 5pl8, 6pl8, etc. now im not saying that someone that onoly deadlifts 4pl8 but curls a lot cant have BIGGER arms, but if you have toothpick arms and you spam isolations with babby weight, well found your frickiong problem.
I had incredible biceps gains from lots of chin-ups. Performed with good technique and slow negatives. 40 total reps broken down into sets of 6,5,4 as I fatigued.
Takes time to build up to that, but an amazing exercise for the back and secondarily the biceps (with a little isolation work at the end of your session).
16" arms look like non lifting arms. My wingspan is also 76". Frick. You legit need 17" arm to look like you lift if you hang longer arms. Literal snails pace growth.
lift
what if someone's just cursed to be skinny strong, like one of those weird twig-looking powerlifters.
That’s complete bullshit
>cursed
there's always more volume calories protein
But what would you do if the twig out-lifted you?
Then it's just a question of calories and he would have a godly physique if only he would eat them.
literally impossible kek, ita just not how it works, see the post before yhis one
4000kcal/200g protien every day for three months while doing a shitload of curls and triceps on top of whatever else you're doing.
you won't, but that's how.
even those 'skinny strong' fellows you're referencing have big arms.
there is no such thing.
Those powerlifters with small quads have weak quads, you see them squatting 600 because they have 700 glutes and 400 quads
Lift weights and eat in a calorie surplus
Lift weights and eat a lot of protein*
yes protein intake is important but a caloric surplus is necessary for growth.
Left arm typed this post
Work out, eat, sleep
1. Eat 1g of protein per 1lb of ideal body weight every day, as much from meat and dairy as possible.
2. Lift big.

>>per kg is slightly less than per lbs
Bro eating 1g/kg is less then HALF of 1g/lbs
Agree .7-.8g/lbs is ideal tho
Do you really need that much protein? Serious question. I’m a vegetarian and only get about 30-40g per day. I thought protein over 100 g was bro science anyway.
Yea, no need. 50g of protein is plenty.
train them every fricking day you frick head.

am i the only one that gets creeped out by skinny arms especially girl arms? it makes no sense how they can lift anything

yeah it looks weird but kinda cool
likely people using their legs to lift, and maybe the size difference between white and red muscle fibers
if you read the sticky, youd have read that theres absolutely nothing you can do. its over

Yes, look at these very strong looking biceps and triceps.
Imagine bulking for a lmao3pl8 diddly
powerlifting is a mental disease

Clean the spaces in between my teeth
Lift
Gain 30-70lbs and reassess
You can't really grow just your arms
16" arms look like non lifting arms. My wingspan is also 76". Frick. You legit need 17" arm to look like you lift if you hang longer arms. Literal snails pace growth.
Bullshit. I'm 15.5-16ish and it's my best feature, and granted I mostly go to PF, generally mogging everyone.
>and granted I mostly go to PF, generally mogging everyone.
ngl it's fun being the smarted moron on the short bus
You're very smarted, homosexual. You rockin some 13 inchers? post body.
They have to be lean too I have 15.5 inch arms but I'm a fat ass
Bicep curls, tricep pulls, wrist exercises, grip strength exercises, eat protein.
Do more tricep exercised than you think you need. They are a bigger portion of the arm than the biceps.
Lift weights and eat lots o food.
Isolating arms is a meme.
Compound lifts like dips, pull-ups, push-ups and bench press is all you need.
This. Back excercises tend to also work your biceps.
IDK.. This is kinda true but isolation helps. I have nice arms and much of it is because all I had growing up was a curl bar and I spammed curls.
Then in recent years I was doing a lot of dips and pull ups, but much of the foundation was built on isolation IMO.
