                oats (I don't stew it or prepare overnight, I just pour the milk), (acidofil/butter) milk/white yoghurt, some nuts and pumpkin seeds to add texture and sometimes I add spoon of peanut butter

    I just looked up some food mostly on walmart's website, and here are the top few sorted by cents per gram of protein:
    > 20 lb pinto beans -> 0.7
    > Flour -> 1.0
    > GV peanut butter natural -> 2.0
    > 0% milk -> 2.6
    > 1% milk -> 2.6
    > Chicken breast -> 3.5
    > Canned pinto beans -> 3.9
    > Canned chick peas -> 3.9
    > Pea pp -> 4.1
    > Ground beef -> 5.1
    > Tofu -> 5.9
    > Whey pp -> 6.2
    > Edamame -> 11.8
    The winners are dried pinto beans, flour, and peanut butter as usual

    And here they are sorted by calories per gram of protein:
    > Chicken breast -> 5
    > Pea pp -> 5
    > Whey pp -> 6
    > Tofu -> 10
    > Edamame -> 10
    > 0% milk -> 11
    > 20 lb pinto beans -> 13
    > 1% milk -> 14
    > Canned pinto beans -> 18

    If you normalize the values by dividing by the min of each list, then you add those values together, the items with the smallest scores are: dried pinto beans, chicken, milk, pea protein powder, peanut butter

    You'd want to try to stick to lower calories / gram protein if you care about getting fat. Otherwise, you want to stick to lower cents / gram protein. You also have to consider if what you're getting is a complete protein. If you want a complete protein go with powder

    Real prices are likely different, and the products I found online are probably not the optimal ones. There are probably other foods that I didn't check that are superior

      i add a scoop of unflavoured protein, raw cocoa powder and and some frozen cherries if i do oatmeal. alternatively i mix in an egg, water and salt and do savory pancakes, and eat it as a side.
