I was getting braces and was forced to remove them for some reason, even though I never had any problems with them. I like 18 at the time. If I had the nerve to say no, they wouldn’t have put braces on me, but at the same time my teeth aren’t straight still.
Genuinely think braces only help if you’re actually in the single-digit age, and even then you shouldn’t need them if your parents are smart enough to tell you to nose-breathe and give you tougher foods. Doctors are such a scam nowadays and people will turn a blind eye to it simple because they trust in an “expert”

        IT'S OVER

I removed two inferior wisdow teeth because dentists said that 1- it didn't fit in my mouth 2- needed to remove to put the braces 3 - It has not possible to clean them so it could give me tooth decay and infection. In the first time when they said to me to remove I said no because I didn't feel any pain with them. After that, more two dentists said to me to remove because it could infect my mouth and they wouldn't put the braces without I had removed the inferior wisdow teeth.
I ended up removing the two inferior, but I didn't remove the two superior, even when they say that they are useless without the inferiors now.

I hate dentists so much it's unreal.

Braces fixed my teeth when i was a teen and only 1 of my 4 wisdom teeth has come out so far and I'm nearly 23. I was always told I would have to remove them eventually because they're "impacted" but 1 of my 4 teeth disproves that. I'll see what happens to the rest.

I think the modern diet -- specifically all of the soft grains that most people eat -- has hindered proper jaw development for a large portion of the population, so when the wisdom teeth come in, it jacks up the alignment of the rest of their teeth, and causes all sorts of problems
apparently this wasn't a problem thousands of years ago when people were on hunter-gatherer diets, and this is possibly why there are many people with underdeveloped jaws nowadays.
I think that is the reasoning, anyway. I guess the mewing gays are kind of on to something.
But it is also possible that this is all a dental scam, and most people would be fine if they kept their wisdom teeth. Who knows?

Oh no thats the thing, Americans pay to get their wisdom teeth to be pulled out AND the upper management gives the dentists who get more people to remove their wisdom teeth. Thats why doctors advise people to get their wisdom tooth pulled, cause they get more money if you do

If it’s a surgical extract, it’s like 250 a tooth and typically takes 15 minutes for all 4 teeth. We could make that in 8 normal visits or 3 cleanings. Not exactly tons of money

God damn my parents have totally fricked me… every single thing they did was wrong. Starting from the beginning:
    >get circumcised at birth then years later when I complained how uncomfortable my dick was in my pants due to my tip not having protection and rubbing my underwear or even zipper, they decide to get me cut again. So I’m double circumcised.
    >also full vaccinations
    >mom wants to save some money on dentistry so we go to a budget office when I’m young. The fricker over flourinate my teeth permanently staining them yellow with unnatural white spots.
    >get glasses when it wasn’t even sure if I need them
    >get out in team sports because my dad didn’t when he was younger and wanted me to even tho I didn’t care for it. Gave me 3 concussions. 1 that could be considered severe.
    >do a similar thing with orthodontics and get braces early. Then after my first round get braces again. Currently my teeth aren’t straight after two times. Frick the sleep guards too.
    >get all my wisdom teeth removed because “that’s what your supposed to do”
    >mom worried about my acne and puts me on accutane. Have to be taken off from high triglyceride reading.
    >parents make me take the covid vax under threat of being thrown out of the house even tho I wasn’t comfortable with it.
    >with knowing I have no control of my life. I’m upset and my mom views that as suicidal depression and puts me on ssri’s take them for a few months then quit. Maybe the offing myself is correct.

There is probably more. I’m thankful that I have my height of 6’3 but doesn’t help when you also 300lbs. My face could be better and I know now it will never hit its proper development, at least with my jaw which seems messed up. Doesn’t help that my fear is permanent health effects and I’ve been collecting them my whole life. It’s hard living life full of these regrets, wishing my parents gave a bit more care and weren’t utter cattle. Sorry for my post guess I just felt like venting.

last time i went to the dentist (like a year or two ago) they told me i had like 5 cavities and needed my wisdom teeth out. that surprised me because i brush at least once, often twice, daily, and 3 of my wisdom teeth have come in just fine (but apparently there’s no “space”? my teeth are very crowded). the fourth wisdom tooth is admittedly kinda wonky. they also told me i need braces to correct my overbite, but i’m hesitant because a good friend of mine’s whole mouth was completely fricked by him getting braces.

I got one removed, because my upper ones were mallformed and full of razor-sharp edges that were lacerating my cheeks. I was too lazy to get the opposite one removed, so I pilled off the sharpest edge a bit. it started to break off by itself after a while, but it was preceded by the worst constant pain that lasted for years and started near my occipital bone. every time I slightly tensed by upper right cheek, I helt the sharpest pain imaginable penetrating deep into my bones and lasting minutes. the pain was gradually displacing itself downwards as the tooth decayed and in the end I feel anything only if I'm brushing or rinsing my teeth and only a small fragment of that wisdom tooth is left.
