You can literally build a decent home gym for 1/10 of that that price
You cannot build a half decent home gym for $400. That's a lie. I built a half decent home gym for about $15k.
what the frick is this supposed to be
show us your $15k home gym
i'd say that's a lot more than "decent", one bar, a cage, a bench and plates would've been sufficient
Yeah I've got almost everything in there including a leg extension machine, 1000 lbs or iron weights, 700 of bumpers, SSB, OPB, American Barbell Mammoth Bar, monolift attachment, jammer arms, copious amounts of elite FTS bands, c2 rower, elliptical for the wife, Rogue assault bike, etc.
What Westside fanboyism does to a homies wallet
Old enough an fortunate enough to be able to build out my gym the way I wanted. If I had more room (when I knock that down and build a bigger building) I'm getting a Hammer Strength leg press.
Now post body to see how well those 15k are utilized.
240 lbs
15% BF
1625 lb raw total
not bad
Dropped vpn just to say NICE work boomeranon
You mogged the naysayers
What being a manlet does to a homie
A couple weeks of raloxifene would do wonders for you
Keep at it king
>15k gym
>0 quad sweep
it's literally over for homegymcels...
Squatting heavy is hard when you're alone
Aren't you that Australian guy that does these upside down situps holding a plate on his chest? Pretty sure I saw a video of yours
Chest genetics really are the maker or breaker of physiques. Goddamn. Good shit otherwise.
Would lift with you/10
(No homo)
Fair play that's a fricking amazing gym and nice rig. I couldn't fathom spend 15k on that but clearly you're doing well for yourself, so I'm mirin
not natty
Why the frick do you need so much??? You could easily just get away with a squat rack, bench, barbell, and a set of plates. Waste of money + looks way too claustrophobic due to the excess crap.
> Claustrophobic.
Lmao, says a third worlder too poor to own anything.
You could have belt a great home gym for a 3rd of the price imo. Splurge out on a treadmill and a few specialty bars(ellipticals are lame), but do you really need dumbbells? You could have gotten a loadable dumbbell instead.
I imagine all I need is a bar for benching, a separate bar for deadlifting, an ssb cause i'm a pussy, and maybe a nemesis bar.
>but do you really need dumbbells?
yes. if you have the space and money, DBs are better than loadable/adjustable any day
People are actually b***hing about having a ton of equipment for working out lmao really bro?
I must CONSOOOOOM!
I NEED the newest piece of equipment!
Pic related has more soul than your overpriced home gym will ever have
Actually digging the barn aesthetic ngl that’s a sick set up
There's nothing wrong with buying shit you use.
>There's no price to show your squat ass to the neighborhood.
>poorgay seething
grow up lad
pure soul
High ceilings make all the difference.
Nothing like a barn gym
Are these a legit thing you can buy or something? I have one of these stolen from a georgian military camp, I thought they just made it. But it is exactly the same right down to the orange plastic and black iron bar
Fffffuuuuccckkk that's gorgeous... That's god tier.
Not 1/10, but you can build your own power rack for $350
And you can make your own concrete plates for a couple hundred
Should've got some used equipment and used the saving to fix up that piece of shit white trash backyard.
Looks clean to me chang lol
You smell like wet bread.
>American obsession with lawncare
It's nice to have cool grass on your feet and a place to hang out within your property. Maybe packed dirt is more common for your demographic or country. Shame, gardening is a good time.
>15k for that
LMAO should’ve probably invested in a better yard instead of buying overpriced metal
Most of that shit can be resold close to original value.
Contrast this to boomers buying cars or people buying the newest expensive PC hardware, and lifting as a hobby is very cheap.
Realistically you are in the
>home gymmer hobby
of buying more gear.
I am in that too, I just prefer odd used stuff that is quality.
cope poorgay
Sweet gym anon
For me? it's the york plates.
miring hard.
I do require occasional proof that guys who loft do actually post on IST
Thank you sir
>15k for a mediocre cuckshed gym
Lmao, you can build this for 5k
>can be resold
You won't resell it until maybe 20 - 40 years have passed.
>lifting as a hobby is very cheap
>>15k
no you can't
you wouldn't sell when you can pass it down to your grandkids
>spending 15k just to look like shit on TRT
Lmao
>doesn't post body
looks better than a non lifter(you)
post body
>thinking that's TRT
absolutely achievable by someone who has been lifting for a long time you dyel
Nice gym, anon
Why spend $7,000 on individual dumbbells when you can just get Olympic dumbbells? I’m not trying to be a dick, but I see no point in that, and I’m genuinely curious.
The convienience of not having to change plates in and out super frequently (drop sets, increasing or decreasing weight through sets) as well as never having to worry about loose plates falling off/ being able to toss them on the ground.
For a home gym, they arent practical imo, but this dude dropped 15k for a professional gym in his backyard so why not.
I use olympic dumbbells and some movements are awkward with 45s on. It's tough to do bent over rows with full RoM for example.
Dont let the haters and copers get you down man.
>assault bike/echo bike
Good choice. Hope you use it.
15k for this
Oh yeah, how would you spend 15k?
i would just save it and until i have enough money for a down payment on a house
he already has a house
yeah if i had a house i would buy another house and rent it/flip it
at least half the cost of it is in the fixed weight dumbbells
I wanted to get American Barbell Series 1 dumbbells but the 105-150 set is insanely expensive (and this quote is from 2021 so they're probably more expensive). Plus I'm out of space.
I have a decent home gym, cost me $1k. And I have something you lack: a cable crossover machine
This looks great, but
>3 cardio machines
>what looks like a leg extension machine
>5 different bars
>an entire rack of dumbbells when you could have bought adjustables
You could have spent less than that and I'm sure you know it.
>adjustables
Adjustables suck ass and are only good to save space
Yeah I'm not sure in what world you can possibly argue that adjustables are anything but cope. There isn't even a perfect adjustable set, regardless of price point. They all have some sort of compromise, and the good ones aren't exactly cheap either.
I just like my spinlocks. You can call it a cope, but with 1.25lb plates I can microload easy enough. I don't do many db exercises right now, just flat db press, and pullovers. Must be a blissful cope
I have a cable stack for fast drop sets/weight changes if I want to.
Maybe I am just a poorgay but I see many pro-style db's in the 90-130lb range for sale used cheap.
This is why I hate "smart" tools
nice. I am somewhere in the 1-2k. Could have done it cheaper but I am happy.
I have a single pair of 120's I got for $60. I bought a ton of that shit in there off OfferUp. The Titan stud bar was $20, got a lat pulldown bar for $5, the American Barbell Mammoth Bar I paid $200 for & the leg extension machine was $300.
Very nice.
post gym
Noice. Personally, I could go without the bike, elliptical, or rowing machine and replace it with a treadmill and some type of cable set up. Otherwise, looks awesome! I wouldn’t mind the minimal space since it’s really only meant for one person to be inside, and you have the luxury of being at your own house and not wait on equipment.
Looks like you could fit a cable set up in there, ngl I would have prioritized that over the dbs. Something like a prime or free motion functional trainer. Mirin none the less
How I would spend 15k on a home gym (giving myself a budget of 13.5k to factor in sales tax)
6x horse stall mats = 240$
Bells of Steel Hydra Collegiate rack with Dip attachment/multi grip pullup bar and weight storage =1300$
Ohio Power Bar = 300$
Used Olympic weights at 1000 pounds total = 2000$
Rep Adjustable weight bench = 400$
Used good quality elliptical = 1000$
Plate loaded hamstring curl/leg extension combo = 650
GHD= 600$
Kabuki Transformer bar = 800$
Used Dual Cable cross machine = 3500$
That puts me at 10790, which gives me ~2700$ to spend on other shit.
And just looking on craigslist I can find other pieces that I'd want lol. Like a hack squat/leg press combo or a deadlift bar or a swiss bar or a competition bench or some other machines.
>Used Olympic weights at 1000 pounds total = 2000$
an anon budgeting a homegym that realizes used weights don't cost 50 cents a pound
>
They sure as frick don't cost that consistently
I got 300lbs off craiglist for $100 (plus shit bar). You just have to be willing to drive strange places and know a bud with a gun and a truck
Generally it's $1 a lb for oly weights. Nicer stuff like rogue, ivanko, york can be $2 a lb, but I can see the value of buying them.
You can get sub $1 a lb but those tend to have lots of 35lb plates or mismatched weights.
I'm aware. I just get annoyed when anons spart out and think
is the norm
my area has homosexuals that sell rusted equipment at or over msrp, but you're getting a good deal because "lol, you don't have to pay for shipping so you're saving $$, I know what I got, no low ball"
Yeah now that I read your above post I realized I misinterpreted it.
Area matters a ton for good deals. Lots of boomers here, but lots of Black folk trying to oversell shit too.
nice pick. I calculate gas into my purchases too since I only get 15mpg with my truck and it's 4.20 a gallon here for regular. For just weights/smaller items I take a different vehicle that gets 30mpg.
a set of logging chains and some iron chunks from the scrap yard would have got ya there. hell a largish boulder from the river for free even. mother fricking city folk i swear
can't wait to see you post your lumberjack body to back that up
True, but I don't want to do engine loads with the motorcycle engines in my back yard.
Could be neat doing engine over bar, engine drags, front engine squats.
Looks great!
Now post body
Black person
Just what I expected, OP spent so much cash on weights and still has no body to show for it and no other place to store all of it except in his garage.
LMAO
double Black person
You've got more weights than my local Planet Fitness. I switched to Crunch gym after the first time they fired the Lunk Alarm.
Mirin' your gym though, do you spill out onto the driveway at all?
Sometimes. Do liu raises & GHD always on the driveway. Sometimes move the bench out there. Farmers carries with 400 lbs a hand up to the fence and back.
A home guillotine
Okay Moishe.
A bench, barbell or dumbbells with weights doesn't cost more than a few hundred dollars. But yeah, keep saying weights are more expensive so paying the israelitegym is better than building a homegym
>A bench, barbell or dumbbells with weights doesn't cost more than a few hundred dollars.
Please show me where weights + dumbbells are a "few hundred dollars"
wtf, i build home under 2€k
>rack with row and lat pulldown
>bar
>weight plates
>adjustable dumbells
>adjustable bench
Here is a $750 gym.
How do you squat?
Not him, but you have no business squatting heavier than you can pick up.
That's enough to do some front squats for bodybuilding, and you clean it of course, that's how
What makes you think you need "half-decent" equipment to put together a home gym?
You can literally build a decent home gym for 1/10 of that that price
pullup bar that doubles as a dip station and roman chair
>€99
chest press bench with bar included
>€100
plastic plates filled with sand 4x10 4x5 6x2.5 2x2 2x1.25 2x0.75
>€50
2 plastic kettle bells 16kg and 20kg
>€21
20kg boxing bag 90x30
>€29
hard plastic weights 2x5 2x2.5 2x1 with bar included
>€25
step machine
>free from old lady down the street
curl bar
>€16
foam floor mats
>€15
yoga mat
>free from that that left it at my house
treadmill
>gift from parents because I was a fat frick, actual retail price €450
the two things in the corner I don't know what they're called in English but the bench step thing was €18 and the thing bellow is one of those sit down and pull yourself up machines free from the old lady down the street
clean, aesthetic. nice, anon.
Peak form.
I was pulling 545 lbs today. 2 singles at that weight. Your 10 lb sand weights and 1" bar aint gonna cut it pal.
it's good enough for me atm amd that's what's important
Just do calisthenics.
>i can build a gym with $300
>A GOOD GYM COSTS AT LEAST $15,000!
Fricking insane people.
>mogs most of IST
That looks like it's extremely uncomfortable to use
For you
>snaps when a guy tries to bench 135 on it
?t=503
I can barely understand half of what this dude is saying. Where the hell is he from and why is he mumbling so much
You are a fricking moron if you can't understand him speaking.
He's perfectly understandable.
t. Finn
I’m asking for the $40,000 model for Christmas this year. I couldn’t possibly settle for anything less
good goy
could someone shop the red eye from the e-girl killing machine for this?
I wouldn't take the world's best smith machine for free
There are multiple smith machines nearby under 500usd, if I want one I can just get one of those, and resell some other equipment it comes with.
>man is wealthy enough to afford a high end home gym and get into genuinely excellent shape
IST (fitness people): WWWAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
IST is full of ESLBlack person latin americans and yuropoors who can't afford simple comforts in life. I'm not sure what you expect
Look up the maximum weight for this device. It will astound you
You know, I used to shit on these things, but if it helps the person that bought it be a better version of themselves, it's money well spent, I think. Some people need the little computer voice or whatever telling them they did a good job to keep at it, so if that's what it takes for them, then that's what it takes.
>Not having internal discipline to keep going
You’re never going to make it
>You do finance y-
bad israelite
I don't get it, do people here think $15k is a lot of money? That's saving for what, 3 months tops and you get equipment that will literally last you until you die?
They’re poor disgusting incels
Average american man's income is around 40K a year. 15k is a sizable chunk of that in one year my man. Not impossible, but it depends on circumstance for an american man to have that quickly you know. Don't know about other countries but it's difficult when you got many other things eating into your income for things as big as a home gym in that short of time you suggested.
i-is it subscription based?
My home gym ended up at 4500. No bills only gains.
