No issue dry fasting. Read up on the 'Phoenix Protocol' if you want to read the science. The thinking of 3mins without oxygen, 3 days without water and 3 weeks without food and you die is all false. They suggest 8 days to create stem cells and really fix yourself.

i have had the best results with 30-36 hour fasts with 1 meal every 24 hours in between. it's crazy how much energy you will get after the first few days. we spend a lot of energy digesting food apparently. its common to have a hard time sleeping at first until you get used to it

Start by fasting for 24 hours, then spend 24 hours eating whatever you want, although try to eat healthy. You don't have to eat healthy but don't splurge on sugar. T The point of this is to prepare your mind and body. Then fast for 48 hours, then eat for 24. Then fast for 72 hours, then 24. Repeat this for at least a month. Note how long you do all of this depends on how fat you are. If you have a rolls, keep it rolling (heh). If you don't eat sweets like a Black person your body will have begun to transition in to preparing to consume your fat for fuel. The headaches should be gone within a week or two as long as you are drinking your snek juice. Most people wont have headaches past the first 24/48/72 cycle. If you are capable of maintaining these cycles and think you'll frick up if you change them, don't. Otherwise, for the braver among you, start increasing the cycle until you hit 5 days no food before you reset. Once you hit 5 days, go for a solid ten days of fasting. Again, I shouldn't have to say this but if you aren't a fat frick your body is going to start eating lean mass especially if you aren't exercising. During this whole process you should be going for at least 1 walk a day. You don't have to train hard just keep moving. After 2-3 months of cycles you have now formed a habit.

I went from 265 to 160. What really made the difference was lots of low intensity cardio and calorie counting. I lift weights as well, but it has negligable effects on weight loss.
I lost around 30kg in 5 months by just doing alternate day fasting and lowering carbs and nothing more. I'd eat around 150g of protein over 3-4 meals in a 8-10 hour window every other day (so fasting around 38-40h at a time). Kept it off by permanently lowering carb intake.

The diet he is pushing now is probably the best weight loss diet out there for lazy people.
It's called the 20/80 diet where you consume no more than 20% of calories from protein and the remaining 80% from fat.
It is basically how Keto should be done and is very sustainable.
The high amount of fat to protein will keep you in Ketosis, this must be done with a high amount of sodium and potassium because the lack of carbs will make it hard for you to hold onto electrolytes.
Once you are used to it you should reduce your calories below maintenance and you should be able to lose quite a bit of fat.
It is best to consolidate your eating times with intermittent fasting with this diet because of the high satiety of the high fat intake will allow you to drop fat quicker.
Just eat eggs and cut out simple carbs like breads and anything processed. Eat fruit, veggies, eggs, beef, fish etc. You’ll lose fat quickly. Also lift some weights and it’ll speed up the process.
You are in traditional starvation mode. You body is going to fight to hold on to every calorie it can. Your insulin is in crackville right now. Your body temperature is on average lower than before. Your body will not be able to hunt down fricked up cells. What a waste of time. Just fast a day or two a week.

Additionally, if you have obesity, you will lose considerably more weight through dry fasting/intermittent fasting.
The cellular edema, like around the breast area in pic rel. is not fat. The fat cells themselves actually become swollen with water and form a protective barrier against toxic substances (obesogens?), especially heavy metals like mercury which Americans are pumped full of since the 1980s (when obesity exploded). The fat cells literally cordon off the poison with a ratio of 9-1 molecules in the case of mercury, more or less depending on how bad it is. There are studies on this. Mercury is obesogenic. They gave it to rats and they became obese with the exact same diets as slim rats.
So while the obesity technically is fat, it's not because the fat cells are storing "excess energy". It's because your body is poisoned and it needs to store the toxic substances away so it won't kill you. Exercising forces toxins out through sweat (muh burning calories). Reducing caloric intake decreases exposure to toxic food and allows your body to process the poisons out through the liver/kidneys, through autophagy. If they smell you get smelly urine, typical to fasting.
I won't say this is implausible, but the explanation of obesity is far more simple, IMO. Processed starches, sugars, oils, and the like correlate perfectly. People consume inflammatory, high-calorie foods that have no sustaining effect like mad. Infant formula is 40%+ fructose. Refined fruit juice and pasteurized chocolate milk are passed to kids as "healthy" choices.
btw saunas/sweat lodges are amazing while fasting. but be careful not to overdo it. i find the sweet spot is between 24 and 30 hours without food to do a light workout and sauna. or, if you eat at lunchtime day 1, do a workout and hit the sauna when you wake up the next day.

I'm currently fasting, I have completed 7 full days since my last meal. I tend to have problems falling asleep so I take melatonin and have no issues, not even during fasting. Give it a shot, it's been a life saver for me.
I drank hot broth during the first week to deal with the hunger. I am not a purist and those few grams of fat don't count for me. But from now on it's only water, vitamin pills and electrolytes. I don't feel hungry anymore.
I plan to go for at least another week but I like the idea of pushing it into 30-40-50 days territory. I plan to switch to keto for a week or two before I carb up and eat carbs again. I'm going to break the fast with some fatty pork, then in keto I plan to have a burger (with a keto bun) and more of the pork, finishing with fried chicken and salad to end the keto.

a 15 day snake juice/electrolyte water fast would probably yield 10-12 lb weight loss and the first 3-6 pounds of that would be water weight that it would be easy to gain back.
in my experience, you lose about .5 to 1 lb per day of fasting if you are exercising to the point of sweating and about .5lb per day if you're just not eating. eating one meal a day with 2 or 3 36 hour fasts per week for a month and a half lost me 23 lbs and i gained about 5 back the first week after quitting.
the mental and spiritual benefits are better than the weight loss benefits IMO, it felt like i got back some willpower that i had lost, maybe my dopamine reward system recalibrated a bit or something.

most important is potassium because you'll wash it out by drinking more than usual which you should due to uric acid spike during water fasting.
minimum potassium dose should be the recommended daily intake which is 4g.
Since you're drinking more than usual it should probably be around 6g.
I eat 8-10g every other day without any issues.
Magnesium is also important but a smaller dose than usual because it causes diarrhea.
Also vitamins (sv3rige would disagree) the daily recommendation.
Last but not least every other day proteins be it though a protein shake (protein powder without sugar) or amino acids.
This is important to keep your body from attacking the heart muscle.
You'll feel more tired during the fast but potassium and a nap will help with this

If you just ride the couch and vid, eat one pack of sausages / day for 1200 calories and not be hungry at all. If you do that, just chill or some walking, but no lifting. Lots of salty water. Use regular salt for the sodium and get the no-salt for the potassium and chug it. Add a magnesium supplement if you can.

Start by fasting for 24 hours, then spend 24 hours eating whatever you want, although try to eat healthy. You don't have to eat healthy but don't splurge on sugar. T The point of this is to prepare your mind and body. Then fast for 48 hours, then eat for 24. Then fast for 72 hours, then 24. Repeat this for at least a month. Note how long you do all of this depends on how fat you are. If you have a rolls, keep it rolling (heh). If you don't eat sweets like a Black person your body will have begun to transition in to preparing to consume your fat for fuel. The headaches should be gone within a week or two as long as you are drinking your snek juice. Most people wont have headaches past the first 24/48/72 cycle. If you are capable of maintaining these cycles and think you'll frick up if you change them, don't. Otherwise, for the braver among you, start increasing the cycle until you hit 5 days no food before you reset. Once you hit 5 days, go for a solid ten days of fasting. Again, I shouldn't have to say this but if you aren't a fat frick your body is going to start eating lean mass especially if you aren't exercising. During this whole process you should be going for at least 1 walk a day. You don't have to train hard just keep moving. After 2-3 months of cycles you have now formed a habit.

I went from 265 to 160. What really made the difference was lots of low intensity cardio and calorie counting. I lift weights as well, but it has negligable effects on weight loss.
I lost around 30kg in 5 months by just doing alternate day fasting and lowering carbs and nothing more. I'd eat around 150g of protein over 3-4 meals in a 8-10 hour window every other day (so fasting around 38-40h at a time). Kept it off by permanently lowering carb intake.

The diet he is pushing now is probably the best weight loss diet out there for lazy people.
It's called the 20/80 diet where you consume no more than 20% of calories from protein and the remaining 80% from fat.
It is basically how Keto should be done and is very sustainable.
The high amount of fat to protein will keep you in Ketosis, this must be done with a high amount of sodium and potassium because the lack of carbs will make it hard for you to hold onto electrolytes.
Once you are used to it you should reduce your calories below maintenance and you should be able to lose quite a bit of fat.
It is best to consolidate your eating times with intermittent fasting with this diet because of the high satiety of the high fat intake will allow you to drop fat quicker.
Just eat eggs and cut out simple carbs like breads and anything processed. Eat fruit, veggies, eggs, beef, fish etc. You’ll lose fat quickly. Also lift some weights and it’ll speed up the process.

Additionally, if you have obesity, you will lose considerably more weight through dry fasting/intermittent fasting.
The cellular edema, like around the breast area in pic rel. is not fat. The fat cells themselves actually become swollen with water and form a protective barrier against toxic substances (obesogens?), especially heavy metals like mercury which Americans are pumped full of since the 1980s (when obesity exploded). The fat cells literally cordon off the poison with a ratio of 9-1 molecules in the case of mercury, more or less depending on how bad it is. There are studies on this. Mercury is obesogenic. They gave it to rats and they became obese with the exact same diets as slim rats.
So while the obesity technically is fat, it's not because the fat cells are storing "excess energy". It's because your body is poisoned and it needs to store the toxic substances away so it won't kill you. Exercising forces toxins out through sweat (muh burning calories). Reducing caloric intake decreases exposure to toxic food and allows your body to process the poisons out through the liver/kidneys, through autophagy. If they smell you get smelly urine, typical to fasting.
I won't say this is implausible, but the explanation of obesity is far more simple, IMO. Processed starches, sugars, oils, and the like correlate perfectly. People consume inflammatory, high-calorie foods that have no sustaining effect like mad. Infant formula is 40%+ fructose. Refined fruit juice and pasteurized chocolate milk are passed to kids as "healthy" choices.

I've become a fan of McDonald's since eating zero-carb, funnily enough. There's nowhere else you can get two all-beef patties for $2.25 or whatever they charge for a "Double Hamburger" now. You can question the quality of the beef, but better than 99% of options when eating out, which I rarely do.
I hate to break it to you, but tea has caffeine too, unless you're all-herbal. I give up caffeine as well for periods of time, though I haven't really noticed any changes.

a 15 day snake juice/electrolyte water fast would probably yield 10-12 lb weight loss and the first 3-6 pounds of that would be water weight that it would be easy to gain back.
in my experience, you lose about .5 to 1 lb per day of fasting if you are exercising to the point of sweating and about .5lb per day if you're just not eating. eating one meal a day with 2 or 3 36 hour fasts per week for a month and a half lost me 23 lbs and i gained about 5 back the first week after quitting.
the mental and spiritual benefits are better than the weight loss benefits IMO, it felt like i got back some willpower that i had lost, maybe my dopamine reward system recalibrated a bit or something.

most important is potassium because you'll wash it out by drinking more than usual which you should due to uric acid spike during water fasting.
minimum potassium dose should be the recommended daily intake which is 4g.
Since you're drinking more than usual it should probably be around 6g.
I eat 8-10g every other day without any issues.
Magnesium is also important but a smaller dose than usual because it causes diarrhea.
Also vitamins (sv3rige would disagree) the daily recommendation.
Last but not least every other day proteins be it though a protein shake (protein powder without sugar) or amino acids.
This is important to keep your body from attacking the heart muscle.
You'll feel more tired during the fast but potassium and a nap will help with this

It also becomes a pretty cheap diet - pack of 5 johnsonville is $5.99CAD. Eat 2 packs a day (2) x 1200 kcals 2400 if you are training - gives you 120g protein. If you just ride the couch and vid, eat one pack of sausages / day for 1200 calories and not be hungry at all. If you do that, just chill or some walking, but no lifting. Lots of salty water. Use regular salt for the sodium and get the no-salt for the potassium and chug it. Add a magnesium supplement if you can.

That said, after a couple days you go "hunter mode" where it feels like you could chase an antelope across the savannah barefoot and kill it using nothing but your teeth and massive erect wiener.
It's a feeling that makes it worth it. A little bittersweet when you break your fast and go into mental hibernation.
