          I never really understood this meme. I tried keto twice and it worked out well for me. The first time I dropped 20 pounds to go to a lower weight class for a jiujitsu tournament. The second time just to lower bf% for summer. I didn’t notice any negative effects.

          I even ate McDonalds Big Macs with no bread regularly when I was out doing errands because it was cheap and easily available.

              You do realize its more likely (and proven) that processed foods raise LDL MORE than eggs, therefore adding eggs and cutting processed foods still drops your LDL

    Diet is largely a red herring when it comes to atherosclerosis and cancer. We are highly non-specialized omnivores who can subsist on either a singular substance or a combination of many for a long period of time without much ill effect. Genetic predisposition and environmental factors like pollution (plastic, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, even electromagnetic) are far more important than what you eat.
