I never really understood this meme. I tried keto twice and it worked out well for me. The first time I dropped 20 pounds to go to a lower weight class for a jiujitsu tournament. The second time just to lower bf% for summer. I didn’t notice any negative effects.
I even ate McDonalds Big Macs with no bread regularly when I was out doing errands because it was cheap and easily available.
