Either women don't think ahead or they can't imagine themselves thinking differently about something in the future. I also suspect it might be some deep-seated rejection of the fear they have about aging. Like it is a way of saying, "this is who I am now, this is who I will always be" when in reality the truth is "I am only attractive because I am young and this state I'm in is not going to last very long"
I think it comes down to a lack of empathy, which isn't a joke. Women (especially young women who don't have sons yet) do actually lack empathy. So they can't empathize enough to imagine having a different reaction to something as a slightly different person in the future.
It's possibly why they like censorship. Men don't like censorship because they can imagine themselves being on the receiving end of having the 'wrong' opinion. Women just assume they will always think like they currently do.
It also explains why women are so frustrating when you break up with them - why they seem to retcon your entire past with her. Her feelings have changed, and she currently doesn't like you, and she is unable to imagine that she felt differently before. So you come up against this bizarre attitude where it is like the past either didn't happen or you just manipulated her true self into going along with the relationship.
