I do them in the rack, off the safeties.
Then I lower the safeties to normal and do barbell rows.
I then get a bench and do skull crushers + barbell curls out of the same rack.

All of the squat racks are constantly empty, every now and then a girl will do 40kg RDLs but that’s it.

protip for rows, regardless if it's off the safeties or from the floor:
RDL the bar down, let the bar float a bit in front of you then start rowing leading with the elbows
My gym does not have the space nor the extra equipment for that, the only barbells are the ones on the racks and benches

I will do this with some racks, because the clearance from the plates to the safeties is just a few inches, I semi-divebomb ATG and colliding into the safeties is a real concern. I don't low bar so I can just dump the weight anyways if I fail, I typically won't attempts sets where I am at risk of failing outside of catastrophic injury when squatting like this tho

I am 5'11", but I was talking about the clearance of the collars on a standard olympic bar and the width of the rack/safeties on some racks

even if the safeties went lower, setting them to a point below where they wouldn't come into contact with a standard plate means they are set too low and won't help you if you fail, assuming you are anywhere near correct depth, it's a design flaw
