Maybe your face wash is too harsh for your skin. You keep washing off your to zero your natural hydrolipid layer everyday, so your skin tries to make it up quick and produces excessive amount of sebum to prevent it from drying. Try to find more gentle face wash. And also moisturize.

            Anonymous

You are making it worse by washing it so often. Your face is supposed to have oil on it. When you wash it you remove all the oil and your body will start producing even more to fix it. By washing it twice a day your body will constantly be trying to re-oil your face.

            >le moisturizer meme, again and again and again
ask yourself this critical question: why should applying a moisturizing fluid to the outer (dead) layers of the skin dermis have any effect on cellular aging? How does this affect DNA damage to the nucleus of my skin cells which is what aging really is.

              1. Appearance of aging is caused mostly by loss in collagen, and second by textural irregularities. Moisturizer helps with both.
              2. DNA damage model of aging is outdated, humans have managed to have kids for millions of years despite supposed accrued DNA damage. Truth is DBA damage can be repaired and is simply not that significant. Yes cancer is bad, not even most elderly people die of cancer. Epigenetic programming is the cause of aging. But anti-aging skin care does not prevent aging, it just makes your skin look good.

        >what is a feedback loop
even if it sounds counterintuitive, moisturizing will help with oily skin (and dry skin), especially if you look for ones that are more applicable to you
just some hints for your path of new knowledge:
        lotion vs cremes vs gels
        water based vs oil based
        humectants
        other info:
exfoliation (not really in terms of moisturizer)
        sunscreen (oil-based, emulsion, gel-based, sticks/balms, makeup)

i have easily the cleaniest and prettiest skin in work, friends and family group, you actually dont need a lot of stuff, just like gym it is consistency and right producst/routine:

        products you need:
        cleanser
        chem. exfoliator
        moisturizer
        retinol
        sunscreen
~150€ / yr for perfect skin
        >routine:
        exfoliate:
exfoliate 2x week in the evening, use cleanser before, wait 10 mins for skin to dry then apply exfoliator, dont use retinol on exfoliator day
        evening:
if not exfoliator day, wash face, damp dry, apply retinol, apply moisturizer, dont sleep on your stomach/face, change bed sheets every week
        morning/day/after gym:
wash face, damp dry, moisturizer, sunscreen

do that 3 months with correct products and you have glass skin light for eternity (not weirdly, shiny looking like koreans, more like japanese and top 1% models or OP pic)

          Anonymous

So do you use retinol 5 times per week? Did you build up to that frequency over time for the retinol and exfoliant? At the moment I'm just applying sunscreen in the morning and cleanser then moisturizer in the evening.

            Anonymous

depending on the % of retinol in the product
in yurop you get low% formulas, so using it 5 times/week might work out fine
keep in mind that when you start using retinol, there might occur ‘retinol uglies‘

you could start with every other day if unsure, that‘s fine

is there anything that helps you look younger, or does all of the anti-aging stuff just help you avoid looking older? Like is it too late to reverse any of the aging that already took place and I'm just avoiding further damage?

      what moisturizer do you recommend?

      Sunscreen every day

is this true even if I'm not really going outside that day? If all I'm doing is driving to work, working indoors, and driving home and staying inside, I don't really spend time outside. Does sunscreen still have a benefit then?

Yes you can reverse the outward appearance of aging. Use whatever moisturizer. If you're not in the sun you don't need sunscreen as much

these things are mostly genetic if not 100% genetic. some people can smoke and look like "shit" compared to their best self's version.
what i mean is if you're an ugly motherfricker these routines won't help you, instead just chores to be done for no reason, i laugh at autists with routines they can't keep for life, because if its not for life, and you do it even for a year and you stop, its like you didn't do shit ever lol.

you need to have the most minimal shit possible that can be some semi automatically at a certain point, a thing you can do forever, which has the highest benefit to time ratio.
    >cleanse + moisturizer morning evening, scrub once a week at the shower.
that's literally it, ever. why complicate life ? this routine gives you like 95% of the benefits of a 1 hour facial cleansing done by a professional due to the law of diminishing returns, which when it comes to the human body dictates almost everything if you think about it. smart scientists come up with pills for your head if it hurts which were billions in development, but drinking basic water gets like 50% of the job done. sure im exaggerating a bit but still.

anti aging is mostly a meme. that routine gives you 90-95% of anything else you can do because we kinda got skin science down to the fricking T at this point. anything else is a literal waste of time unless you're a victoria secret model or influencer getting paid to get that extra 5%, which is not worth it for everybody's life, and these people also don't do it when they don't "work", which means they wouldn't do it if they didn't. which means you shouldn't do it.

now with regards to any vitamins, all are a meme if you just eat normally a balanced diet like a normal person. and just do fricking blood works every 5 years to check on things and fix what is broken, don't fricking mess with your body natural ability to "work" it's a product of ages of evolution, i never get these people that take collagen or omega 3. eat Black person

It's the exact opposite. Every vegan I've ever met looks sickly, malnourished and 10 years older than they actually are

        Anonymous

this. most vegans don't care about sufficient and complete protein intake except when getting other people to go vegan

          Anonymous

It's also very difficult to get a complete nutrient intake from a vegan diet in general. Most of the micronutrients you get from plants are significantly less bioavailable than their equivalents in animal protein. That's not to say you shouldn't incorporate some plants in your diet, but solely subsisting off of them is going to hurt your health in the long run. It's why vegetarians are almost always healthier than vegans. Vegetarians can at least have dairy and eggs which two of the healthiest things to have in your diet.

    if talking about face only:
cut garlic into very small fine grate and keep pressing it little bit with knife's blade. then to let allicin form let it rest there for +15 minutes and then. after waiting wash your your face and hands with luke warm water and then rub the garlic into your wet hands. when your hands are fully soaked with the garlic stuff clean the garlic cuts from your palms (but keep the liquid) and rub your face with the palms and wait couple minutes before washing it off.

if you wish, you can also make face mask out of unflavored yogurt and garlic the same way.

allicin is somewhat potent antibiotic that improves blood flow and collagen generation of the skin, temporarily it also tightening your skin.
can also help or prevent inflammation.

green tea and many many other foods loaded with antioxidants helps too, but being physically active is the most important.

What about body skin? I only see routines for faces and I assume painting your body with tretinoin is too expensive. What do

So I was looking at GlyNAC recently, and went back to the paper on the topic people had been citing to see what dosage I should take.
    https://academic.oup.com/biomedgerontology/article/78/1/75/6668639

In the study they gave extremely high doses to the subjects:
100mg/kg/day each of glycine and NAC. So roughly 7-10 grams of glycine and 7-10 grams of NAC per day. For reference, most brands package NAC in 600mg pills, so you'd need to take at least 12 pills per day to reach the desired amount.

She's probably like 60-70% white based on her having that high forehead, light skin, narrow-ish nose, and straight hair.

You're right about everything except the high forehead. Most black women have very high foreheads.
