Actually not a bad conversion. My low bar 1rm is around 335 and I can bang out sets of 10 at 315 on hip thrusts
you have to find the right placement for the bar and squeeze your glutes at the top

They work, but they strangely frick with my left knee every time I do them, so I just do glute-focused 45 degree back raises instead and it's fine.
