      gay.
      they are delicious.
      here's something i make sometimes:
      cook rice.
when rice is done/nearly done, fry an onion- diced. add a handful of sultanas, now add your sardines, stir all together, maybe ass some salt and pepper. add the rice. delicious.
i call this "pilchards and rice" i also make it with pilchards, which are basically the same thing.

Love me 'deens. The worst thing about them is the price, here the cheapest ones are 1.29 euros for 100 gramms which makes it more expensive than lean ground beef.

Deenz are hard enough to get down, but the fact that I come home from work the next place and my apartment still smells is too much. I don't do canned fish anymore.

    Love me some deenz
Occasionally for ones in tomato sauce. Add a couple drops of hotsauce, some pepper and onions sauce and eat from the tin as a snack.
    Deenz livin' yo

They're an OK alternative to tuna. Typically, I get sardines by the bulk and use it as a source of protein when I either feel like I'm eating too much tuna, when I haven't eaten anything fishy in a while or if I'm lacking protein from other sources do to it being towards the end of the week right before my big shop.

I'm pretty boring with how I eat them. On some bread (optionally toasted) with some cracked salt and pepper on top. I get the ones in olive oil, ofc.

i get em in bulk at the costco when they're on sale. Still too expensive but the nutrient profile is great. When I ate a can backstage people in the audience kept saying shit like "does anyone smell cat food"

I've tried the King Oscar deenz a couple of times and I've never enjoyed them, I prefer mackerel.

I love fresh mackrel but everyone has tried to talk me out of getting it canned I really don't see what's so bad about it. It's not like salmon where canned/pouches is nasty unless it's in a dip or something.

Get the King Oscar in tomato if you can, it's very good.

It's around $16/lb for the same price point you could get some pretty good salmon. I'd rather eat salmon regularly and have some canned sardines around for an impulse.

They’re legit, just don’t buy the super cheap ones. Nuri is great but I’m sure other brands that use olive oil are just as good.
