      bodyweight russian twists are good cardio but if you load them heavy (for effective training) you will eventually shred your frickin spine

    I honestly only do them as a time killer / super set in between sets when i'm working out @ the squat rack. They feel ok.

    I think there's gotta be a slight variation that gets a better stretch in. For example, if my arms are overhead, and i do the bend, I feel more of a stretch than if I'm holding weight @ the side.
