Are you a good person /fit?
I've noticed that the most jacked people in my gyms are the most calm and non judgemental. Why is this? But the ones in the middle, meaning like people who recently got big are the ones who try to intimidate and usually act like shit outside and inside the gym.
Are you trying to become a better person as well? If so what do you do? do you
>Go to the homeless shelter
>Donating blood
>Attending church
>Being kind to people
I'm guessing you're not though
>>Go to the homeless shelter
blood
church
kind to people
Bait
DYEL
That said church could be engaging with your local community however you choose if you aren’t religious. Anyways organized religion is cringe.
I'm far from a good person.
The dude is right and Arnie is virtue signalling for good boy points.
The special olympics is the equivalent of a circus and if you support it you are either a sadist or have a savior complex.
Yep I guarantee Arnold doesn't actually watch it either
This
Arnold still destroyed him with pure rhetoric though
Is your view of the special olympics based on that johnny noxville film?
A lot of the people competing in the special olympics were actually athletes before they had some horrific incident that left them without a leg or paralyzed etc.
>get to watch former athletes tarnish their achievements, forced to compete with and lose against literal down syndromes
>in 4K HD 360°
Kino timeline. Bread and circus but even more cruel than watching two men whack eachother with sticks.
Once again, is your view of the special olympics based on that johnny noxville film?
Special olympics is responsible for all the funding that is going into crazy bionic limbs etc. Its literally funding a cyberpunk future.
>You are thinking of the paralympics. The special olympics are for mentally handicapped people (downies etc.).
Same shit tbh.
>Its literally funding a cyberpunk future
Lmao at this Black person for thinking that the moron Games (tm) are responsible for advancement in prosthetics and bionics.
You are thinking of the paralympics. The special olympics are for mentally handicapped people (downies etc.).
This being said, I see no reason to be against its existence. Of course these people will never be anywhere near as good as normal athletes, but they are making the best out of the life they got.
It is kinda fricked. Consider that the competitors require a care taker to sign them up as they're not actually in charge of their own decisions. So you have a bunch of care takers who are taking advantage of those in their care. They parade them about and sign them up for all sorts of events, not too dissimilar from a dog pageant. Then there are all the associated interest groups who are there for good PR. Faceless corporations slapping their brand on competitors clothes and slipping generous pay outs to the handlers. All so they can tell the world how great they are in an effort to sell merchandise or shares. There are other things, trainers that collect higher (often government funded) wages to help these people perform better. In reality however they simply act as baby sitters tasked with making sure their charge knows which direction to run as victory is not the goal, merely participation.
Some might genuinely enjoy it. Others are probably there to appease their owners or have no other options besides agreeing with their master as they lack the ability to express themselves properly. It's all a farce, like everyone else participating in high level sporting events, they're there for the money. Only in this case the athletes aren't seeing any of it, their owners are.
Anything that promotes or popularizes exercise and activity is fine in my book. Even morons benefit from exercise so making and promoting sports for them does a general good.
How do they gauge out how moronic people are to compete? Do they have like moronic classes similar to weight classes or is it just a bunch of bullshit? Like if someone is as moronic as a 5 year old how is it fair to pit them against someone moronic as an 8 year old
Paralympics, you fricking donkeybreath
He's technically correct, but Arnold is right that he's a pitiful little human for picking on people with disabilities.
Dammit Anon, we call ourselves ISTtards for a reason. We’re all moronic here.
And none of us should be competing in what should be considered a sacred event so we don't cheapen what should be a showcase of the pinnacle.
>we
Never lump me in together with you self hating cuckolds
>not called the olympics, called the """special""" Olympics
>what the frick they're morons!
Arnold is right he's literally dumber than the competitors
Arnie had a cringe overreaction but this mindset is just a projection of your own rigidity and inferiority feelings.
>If I have to constantly compare myself to others and experience shame over not measuring up then everyone else should also!
Why does it make you so angry that morons might have a happy time competing in a healthy fun way and that there families and friends would support?
You sound like the b***hy cousin all jealously bitter that anyone would compliment the moron cousin for holding down a job of steady employment and being happy and somewhat self reliant. You think it looks poorly on you that you cant win a competition but a moron can. Remember no one cares enough to judge you as much as you care to judge others.
Yep. The special Olympics also give people the completely moronic notion that anyone can become anything. If you have no legs, you shouldn't be a runner.
If you're blind, you shouldn't be an archer. Pick things you're actually good at, not things that you'll always be inferior at. "Overcoming" a handicap by being given a pity award by normal people is not something you should aspire to.
I’m not one to point this out but “ratio’d” as the normies say. You’re a seen as more of an outcast than the actual morons and probably have less friends.
>I’m not one to point this out but “ratio’d” as the normies say.
moron thinks consensus determines truth
Let people have dignity despite their circumstances. You probably believe you have all the answers, know what’s up and it makes you feel above it all. You’re a loser contrarian on a IST board. Disgusting bottom of the barrel scum.
No I don't care about being a good person. I will be good when it benefits me and bad when it benefits me.
Based. Spartan babythrowing needs to make a comeback
> Based. Spartan babythrowing needs to make a comeback
ISTner thinks he won’t be thrown away
I try to be a good person but I am not going out of my way to do "good deeds", that just feels like seeking cheap redemption for whatever frick up in the past. Human qualities or virtues like honesty, loyalty, integrity, humility, kindness, self-awareness, politeness, gratefulness (and many more), are important to me and I try to remember that in every interaction I have with others. My reward for that are friends and family that speak of me highly although I'd say I am very far from actually being a good person - but just trying to be one already puts you far ahead of the pack.
You misunderstand in the same way I misunderstood brother anon.
You will know a tree by its fruit and the fruit is a result of the tree, not the other way around.
When you fully turn to Jesus you will follow His commands and teachings, and grow to be more like Him.
You do good things in this state because of the righteousness of Christ and the Holy Spirit in you, never made righteous because of your own deeds or acts.
I agree with Arnold, but living your life to be remembered after you pass is ridiculous. Ultimately we will all be forgotten. Why should I spend my one life trying to please a faceless blob of people?
This. If you live for the validation of others you will never be happy.
>I agree with Arnold, but living your life to be remembered after you pass is ridiculous. Ultimately we will all be forgotten. Why should I spend my one life trying to please a faceless blob of people?
Nobody will remember Arnold either. The tv is dead and cds were dead even further back. The chances of someone finding one of his movies on the internet are slim and the chances of caring about some random actor he saw in a movie without accompanying advertisements are even slimmer.
I don't actively do harm to anyone, that's all
I don't think I'm a good person tho
You're neutral, that's fine too. One could argue you're good for not actively harming others.
ESL post
I help people when I can, but this website and the internet has made me less of a good person.
If Arnold was right then people would actually give a frick about the special Olympics, which they don't. No one actually watches morons except for other morons.
>donate blood
I stopped when I found out that they're taking gay blood now to avoid hurting feelings, letting it mix with large batches, and then just throwing out the fricking batches.
>Homeless
Constantly attack their "saviors", frequently killing them. More good is done in the prevention of homelessness: habitat for humanity, veterans mental health programs, rehab clinics. Such damage is done by the time a person is 1+ years homeless that statistically they will remain that way and will die on the street.
>Go church
That's really for my own spiritual benefit, not really a good deed for others.
>Kindness
Yeah, I hand old ladies shit on top shelves of stores, assist my gimpoid friends and family in yardwork, gardening, moving, stop at kids lemonade stands, run charity 5ks, silly shit like that.
My kind of guy. Individual acts of charity to your fellow good meaning humans rather than throwing money at a problem and feeling good about your new sainthood
Interesting.
I've found that people who think themselves fit to label people as good and bad are usually hypocrites.
What said. You can never determine yourself if you're a good person, that label can only bestowed by someone else. don't ask us if we're good people, ask us if you're a good person.
That's bullshit. You know damn well if you're good or not. What would you do if I dropped a 20$ bill without noticing and nobody was around to see?
I wouldn't do anything because I wouldn't be around to see it. Checkmate.
Okay, here's a better one. You need a new coffee pot. The local supplier that participates within your economy sells it for 20$. Amazon has one for 10$ and most of the components, labor, and business was done in China. Which one do you buy?
Trick question, both buy their shit from the same Chinese sweatshop.
I think I morally agree with you both about the money and about the pot, but you still perform a binary value judgement on people basing it on one action using YOUR moral framework. There are very many problems humans face that do not have a black and white solutions.
Abortion for instance - for anyone who values human life, killing a baby, even when it's inside the womb, should be evil. On the other hand, so is fricking up the body of a woman who's been raped. Which is the greater evil? Can we even have an answer that isn't an arbitrary decision on when the fetus is worth saving? We may never know because morons like you keep reducing the discussion to "other side bad"
>There are very many problems humans face that do not have a black and white solutions.
Name one.
>Abortion for instance - for anyone who values human life, killing a baby, even when it's inside the womb, should be evil.
It is.
>On the other hand, so is fricking up the body of a woman who's been raped. Which is the greater evil?
Murder.
>inb4 what if it happened to your sister/wife/mother
Murder solves this problem, except this murder isn't of an innocent baby.
Exactly. Except it's not technically murder to rid the world of an animal that harms people.
Also true.
Murder, is malice aforethought.
This would be cold, unbiased justice.
Here's where you proving you think your idea of morality is absolute. I for one don't have an ounce of sympathy for the spawn of a rapist. Your solution is to let savages procreate as parasites on society. Your "objective morality", understandable as it is leads to shitty outcomes.
I'm not going to pretend you have no argument though. The baby isn't at fault, sure. But have you seen the utter destruction a pregnancy does to a woman's body, and an unwanted child does to the psyche of both the woman and the child. And for what? To have a neglected spawn of a criminal brought to the world?
It's a cursed fricking problem in a cursed world and there is no morally white solution to it.
And for a take more fitting to this platform, I'd spend my life in prison over helping raise the spawn of a hypothetical sandBlack person who'd raped my GF
Not that Black person but
>utter destruction pregnancy does to a womans body
Barely any. Any actual problems caused by pregnancy, in this day and age are easily managed, prevented or reversible.
I buy local and spread antisemitism to support my nation so yes I'm a good person. I'm kind too. If a homeless guy is cold or hungry I'll help. If he's fat and lazy I'll berate him.
Extremely based lol
Yeah, I'm with you. If they have the heart to want to strive and compete- go for it. I'm not going to watch it, but more power to them.
Its the same with money.
All the newly rich people buy flashy cars and are obnoxious and think everyone is impressed, while the old money couldnt care, wear comfy plain clothes from target etc.
All the newly jacked lifters training 1-2 years are the ones taking 50 supplements, loudly being a frickhead in the gym etc. whilst the old / generational muscle who really runs the show are more laid back, squatting 240kg and dont even care if noone is watching
I don't wanna attack my short kings, but usually short + gymcelling = terrible person.
>every video I've seen of a raging manlet at the gym was of a raging manlet at the gym so all manlets who lift are raging manlets at the gym
I give a hundred euros each month so two little girls in kenya can go to a boarding school and not get sexually abused by their father.
ITT: people who recently got fit acting mean and judgmental
To answer your first question OP, it’s usually because getting fit teaches you a lot of life lessons: the virtues of hard work, how to stay positive when everything seems like shit, how to discipline yourself, etc.
The people who’ve done it the longest have the most practice at it and do really well in other areas of life that require similar skills, e.g. being kind to someone because it’s something you want to do, and not worrying about the results of today, but looking forward to the results of the future.
The recently fit have just gotten a taste of power, but they have no idea what to use it for. They were always weak on the inside, so they craved power without realizing power is just a means to an end, rather than an end itself.
Or it’s just confirmation bias. Who knows.
The next questions:
>go to the homeless shelter
No, but I do donate to canned food drives.
>donating blood
Did it once, passed out because I didn’t eat breakfast. Thinking about doing it again. I wish the Red Cross didn’t blow up my phone with messages, but I can’t blame them. It’s a noble cause
>attending church
Not a believer of any sort, but I understand why people go. The churches in my area are full of genuinely nice people who want nothing more than to sell cookies at their bake sale and actually go help people at the homeless shelter. I’ve bought some cookies at their fundraisers
>being kind to people
This is vague, but I try. I know I’m on IST, but if you met me IRL, you’d never suspect I know about this awful, degenerate place.
I’ve jump started people’s cars on the road, helped with heavy lifting, and helped people around me meet their fitness goals to the best of my ability.
That’s really about it. Keep getting IST, homosexual.
Isn't the special olympics just a competition of who is less crippled?
That’s the Paralympics
Special Olympics is for people who have less than stellar brains and possibly additional handicaps
It's not up to us to decide if we're good people.
I have been thinking of volunteering lately. I like hiking along the trails near me. Surprised to see so many natural animals close to my backyard I hardly noticed before. Its nice. But I notice a lot of littering from methbums and recently saw a posting for a volunteer event to help clean nearby natural parks and trails and I would genuinely like to volunteer. Cause something in me gives a frick that the town I live in have nice cleaner parks for me and everyone to enjoy. Even knowing methbums are only gonna trash it up later it will be worth it because I will know when/where to hike that are the cleanest because I helped clean it.
I like to keep a "trash pouch" in my camping pack, I line it with a plastic grocery sack and try to pick up the junk I find along the way.
What pisses me off is all the dog frickers who bag their dogs shit and leave the wrapped shit on the trail- like it would honestly be better to just leave dog shit than dogshit wrapped in plastic.
i would do this but trash or not my only mountainous state park nearby is a fricking overcrowded shithole full of homosexual rednecks blazing up and down the roads. literally cannot go anywhere in the park without hearing more gay fricking engine blaring noises than i do anywhere else in town. it's actually unbelievable
>blazing up and down the roads
wtf cars are allowed in nature parks? eurogay here and im completely dumbfounded, doesnt that not completely defeat the whole idea? do the rednecks not sense the slightest bit of irony? i have so many questions and so little answers
You should nourish the forest with the methheads
Great plan, I may do the same.
Also this
> Are you trying to become a better person as well? If so what do you do?
I don’t need acknowledgment from others for the things I did and do , it goes both ways , god see everything.
>be me
>in college a long time ago
>walk past a blood drive
>guy standing outside asks me if I want to come in and donate
>”No way. That’s *my* blood.”
>looks at me like I’m an evil piece of shit
>laugh as I walk past him
Reminds me of walking past some canvassing b***h while in university who asked ne "hi do you have a moment to talk about the homeless?" And I laughed and said "I hate the homeless" and kept walking.
She yelled swears at me until I was out of earshot.
I don't think so. Well I tried to be, but after people close to me just used me and lot of others acted like I am a rag I view everything as transactional. If I don't get something out of it, I won't move a finger for anybody. If there is God I hope He will forgive me.
When someone asks if they can take a plate from the rack I'm using, sometimes I go to the other side and grab the other plate of the same weight and hand it to them.
Wow, you are so cool!!!111
What's your problem?
>go to the homeless shelter
Stopped right there
I have absolutely no sympathy for the homeless whatsoever
Big guys donate blood because steroids increase hematocrit
t. Big guy with high hematocrit
>Go to the homeless shelter
i'll try it out when i'm homeless
>Donating blood
chocolate bar is shit payment for sucking life out of me and making me weak for a day or two
>Attending church
i don't support pedophilia
>Being kind to people
depends on many factorrs
>chocolate bar
you fricker, they gave me a quarter of an orange
Because being mean usually means feeling unsure or inner insecurities and fear.
When you really make it, you're not worried anymore, and are calm.
Read the New Testament anon.
>I've noticed that the most jacked people in my gyms are the most calm and non judgemental. Why is this?
Guilt because they frauded with steroid use, so they intentionally keep a low profile.
Amyone else seen that webm where the blind longer jumper runs and jumps but because hes blind he jumps on an angle and just lands outside on the sand on the concrete
People at the top have nothing to prove. People in the middle know they're not at the top, so they act big to compensate or to fool people.
The biggest guys at the gym know they're strong and don't need to prove it to anybody. The numbers they're lifting don't lie. The ones in the middle want a fast pass to being a tough guy, so they yell, act tough, or push down on people weaker than them to feel like they're at the top.
>Are you a good person
Yes, I donate to animal preservation, especially African wildlife because I feel bad that majestic creatures have been huddled together with idiots and killed for dumb frick Chinese
>Go to the homeless shelter
People are homeless because they make bad decisions, I don't care for them at all. A homeless woman sits outside of small businesses in my city and pisses on the ground and yells at people for money. Frick them.
>Donating blood
Considering doing this as my sister was saved by blood transfusion and I am very healthy. Also I think the body should replenish blood.
>Attending church
No need to, already very spiritual person
>Being kind to people
As long as I get a sense of respect in them, otherwise I move on independently of others
blood
biggest scam out there, it fricks your cardiovascular system and the red cross just sells it to hospitals for a profit then the hospitals sell it to people that need blood for a profit. They should really be paying you for your blood
>Go to the homeless shelter
If you want to spend your time helping people in need, then volunteer at a group home for victims of domestic abuse, orphanages, senior centers, or hospital wards for people with terminal illnesses. A lot of nonprofits catering to the homeless are 1) predatory (their funding comes from ensuring that they have a consistent flow of homeless people and therefore aren't actively getting people off drugs or on stabilizing medications which would keep them off the streets long term) and 2) dangerous.
>Donating blood
They profit a good deal on the blood you donate, and I stopped doing it after they left me unattended, passed out on a bench when they drew too much blood.
>Attending church
Good idea.
>Being kind to people
Treat people in a just manner. Kindness is not always appropriate, and God calls us to show love by acting appropriately.
>Donating blood
It's possible to build up dangerous amounts of iron in your blood after years of not bleeding. A donation once every year or so will fix that.
But don't turn into a blood bag. Donating as often as the Red cross allows (6 times a year) will make you anemic eventually, even if you eat a pound of red meat a day
>It's possible to build up dangerous amounts of iron in your blood after years of not bleeding. A donation once every year or so will fix that.
this is the most semitic thing I have read today
What’s the probability that Arnold didn’t make fun of Lou back in the day for having a speech impediment/being hearing impaired?
The only aggressive piece of shit fit people are the roided trannies.
Exercise does boost your mental health.
>Well he used a moronic bait image for the thread maybe it's okay though
>It's just all bait
yeah
>Donating blood
The pandemic taught me I truly do not owe a single fricking thing to the general public.
I am kind, or more yet respectful in a reciprocal manner, to people. There's little reason not to unless other behaviour is warranted.
However unfortunately I will never be able to shake the perception that the vast majority of other humans I share physical space with are moronic and/or cowardly automatons. And it's actually a good thing, you are entirely free from caring about any sort of external validation or approval except from people that you specifically respect.
Sorry peasants, my blood is simply just not for you.
blood
I donate blood because my roid usage increases my hematocrit
WOOOOOOOOOAH DOUBLE QUADS
I am polite, but I would not say I'm particularly kind nor of soft heart.
Go smoke a cigar arnold
i can smoke my stogie anywhere i want.
IST is one of the most selfish, hateful discussion boards on the entire internet. "Calm" and "non-judgmental" is just about the furthest thing from the truth to describe this abominable cesspool and the posters who make it up. It's probably the most judgmental and angriest, vitriol-spewing board online.
Pretty funny from a place that pedestalizes being a "stoic" and loving the Greek philosophers and all that shit.
What fantasyland are you living in?;None of what you posted is even close to reality, in concept or form.
newbie. Go back.
Good and nice are two different things.
>Are you a good person /fit?
no
I'm the second coming of Jesus Christ himself, OP. Therefore, frick you.
why sould I?
My whole life human people havent lived up to goodness
>the most calm and non judgemental.
I’m wild and crazy and completely non empathic. I’ll call YOU, yes YOU, the anon reading this a homosexual for any reason, I’ll even call you a homosexual for no reason.
homosexual.
>be me
>last week
>on my way home home from work
>late and very cold, maybe 1-3°C
>arrive at train station via tram
>pull out apple from my bag
>happy to eat tasty apple after had day of work
>walk to main entrance of station
>see guy sitting on the ground leaning against a pillar wrapped in blankets
>feel bad for him, even I am freezing and I just sat in a warm tram
>walk by him
>lay my apple in his lap as I keep walking
>idc what everyone around me thought of me, usually I am an anxious mess in public
>think maybe he likes apples too and I made him a bit happy
>put in headphones and listen to comfy music
>continue driving home
>pet my cat and go to sleep
thank you for reading my stupid greentext anons
>I know what you really want is attention.
>If you choose to keep going this way, no one will even remember you.
Oh yeah this is big brain time. What a diva, jesus.
No. I did terrible shit in my life. I am fairly sure I am worse than majority of this board.
I don't consider myself a good person, but I certainly do not see myself as evil. I try my best these days to live toward the seven heavenly virtues and avoid the cardinal sins. I am deeply suspicious of most people who consider themselves naturally good, but this is probably due to a sense of self-loathing. I try to keep the younger guys/kids from making my own mistakes and be a positive role model when I'm around them. Sometimes I give food to some of the homeless guys who look like they could use it. I really want to be a knight and be martyred in a holy war.
I've donated blood and hair before. Also done some volunteer work in the past. I have considered doing volunteer tutoring as well.
