Straps are great for letting back work actually hit your back instead of just your grip. Wrist wraps are great for keeping wrists straight on presses.
Having trouble hitting the back most exercises always falls on forearms more. What kind of straps and what lifts do you suggest for last?
Standard lifting straps are fine, but I find versa or cobra grips faster to use and more versatile. I use them on rows, pull downs, Chinups, etc. I don't use them on Deadlifts usually. But do from time to time to really push them.

No you're going to build your core strength if you go heavier than without a belt on a lift. You definitely want to get as strong as you can get before belting up. People recommend different stages but it's largely up to you when you feel that your core is not catching up to your legs.

Chalk is good for deadlifts as well though
People think you need to reach an arbitrary weight before you can use belts otherwise it looks stupid. But belts are great, straps too.
Belts have literally 0 downsides, however straps makes you rely less on grip strength so I'd recommend doing some grip training if you use straps if you want nice forearms.
