>do a deadlift
>some person (always weaker than me) decides to come over and inform me that this is a dangerous exercise or my form is bad
this has happened to me numerous times over the years, over literally dozens of gyms.
I can deadlift over 5 plates for reps. I've never had lower back injury. it still keeps happening. what the fuck.
>this has happened to me numerous times
yea you're definitely doing it wrong then. do it right retard
Kek you're probably curving your back
I only do lmao 4pl8, but I've literally never had anyone talk to me in 2+ years
round your back is not dangerous, it's literally a myth
yea record yourself, never had someone come up to me when deadlifting saying its bad over 7 years
It is a dangerous exercise. Enjoy the back pain and compromised performance in other lifts.
Shut up, retard
This happened to me once in highschool bc my form was terrible. Maybe take a hint anon. Youre making people cringe with your form
Now we're curious anon, can you record yourself and show us? We can all learn something from this.
All the mad DYELS coming out of the woodwork here too apparently. If the guy pulls over 4+ pl8 and has never been injured, his form doesn't matter
>dozens of people across multiple gyms have told me the same thing, unprompted
>They're all wrong because I haven't gotten hurt yet
>guy pulls over 4+ pl8 and has never been injured
>what is survivorship bias
tell that to Ronnie Coleman
Coleman is paralyzed due to botched surgeries
He didn't do himself any favors by walking off the operating table and immediately loading up 500 lbs in the squat rack
Coleman is crippled because he didn't let himself heal.
If your under 40, 90% of the time a disc will heal if given 3-6 months.
That 800lb squat was done with a back injury while cutting a couple weeks from comp.
>Tell that to the most utterly fucking insane outlier in the history of bodybuilding who did gallons of steroids and did shit to his body that's completely outside of the realm of comprehension for any normal lifer
You might as well bring up Tiger Wood's drug addiction or Roger Federer's knee issues to illustrate why casually playing golf or tennis is dangerous.
he’s not even in a wheelchair because of that either
he’s in a wheelchair because he would do fucktarded shit like get a hip replacement [this was genetics, his dad and his grandpa both had to get hip replacements and neither of them lifted], and then literally the day after the surgery he went to squat 600+ pounds. Just pure pigheadedness. I can respect it because he never whines or complains, but come on
Ronnie Coleman repeatedly ignored his surgeon's advice to not lift heavy right away after surgery repeatedly. If he wasn't a fucking idiot, he'd be able to lift heavy today.
Ronnie Coleman injured himself all the time what are you talking about
>if you drive completely wastef every day for years it's safe bro you're still alive
YES
The fact you can't take a drunk driving test to change your legal limit is ridiculous.
Thank god for your voice of reason
im running for governor in my state and this is my main plank
>take a drunk driving test to change your legal limit
god i need this
Based anon putting glass back dyels in their place
this
doesn't the whole vibration thing when you throw the barbell on the ground cause injuries? looks pretty bad
i imagine posts like these are LARPs from dyels that browse IST inbetween 4chan and /d/.
When I DL, I always get unsolicited advice from people who are obviously impressed but also very much weaker. Never had a dude complain about my form, but there was one trainer that did semi-seriously joke about hernias every time just because I wasn't using a belt (I was the only guy in the gym that did 4pl8 and above without a belt, although I do whip out a belt after 455).
Advice usually goes along the lines of:
>Wow that was impressive, but you know what would TAKE YOU TO THE NEXT LEVEL? <some random technique that does not, in fact, take me to the next level>
Probably because you look like this, nobody ever comes to tell me my 4.5pl8 dead is dangerous
The only time, I inform people that their form sucks is if they are teenagers obviously doing something wrong.
I assume everyone else is just using the optimal form for their bodies.
You gotta be doing something right if your hitting 5pl8 and have been deadlifting for years without pain.
answer with
>for you
>for your back
>your form perhaps
because these people are projecting
if you're so sure your form isn't atrocious, post a video to prove everyone else wrong.
Tom Platz snapped his shit doing curls and lateral raises
You know what never hurt him? Squats and deadlift. You know what he still does to this day as a 70 year old man? Squats and deadlift.
you WILL have a shitty back later in life. stop this faggy mindset of "i must do deadlifts because its cool and manly" before its too late. its for your own good.
old people will have bad backs either way. they'll be less bad if you train them with squats and deadlifts instead of using fear to justify your laziness. Old people who lift have better backs than sedentary turds like you
deadlifting makes your back stronger in old age, not weaker. stay seething incel.
nothing funnier than dyels who can't even DL 2x bodyweight yet are experts on "form" because they obsessively watch youtube videos. Lmfao.
