Does rider stance build muscle?

I want to work my legs but I don't want them to get big because I am going for the V shape.

Horse stance will get the small muscles of your hips sore but it wont really build much general strength or mass. Just do the stationary bike to keep fit legs

What does it work then? Endurance?

It's very similar to doing planks, it does build muscles in a different way, like with calisthenics.

People who only train calisthenics but not weights often look more "dense" and compact

Hypertrophy increases strength, but calisthenics aren't designed for hypertrophy, to put it in fewer words

how are big legs keep you from V shape exactly?

Big ass and fat legs made you look feminine. It can turn you into a pear or an hourglass. I want the skinny legs and big wide upper body like a one piece character.

        Ultimately you're either a Y or a X

No it can't lmao. Hourglass shape is determined by the amount of FAT on your belly and hips. There are no muscles that make your hips protrude. Ass mass will mostly make it pop when looked at from the side. In fact, building big legs makes your hips look smaller in comparison

I don't want to have an ass bigger than most girls.

            >I don't want to have an ass bigger than most girls.
this is inevitable unless you're content with permanently having a sub-100kg squat

        >thin, weak, dainty legs are masculine
        >large, strong legs are feminine

Did karate every week as a kid for 7 years. My sensei was very traditional, and we were in horse riding stance constantly. I built up massive quads and they've never gone away.

How do big legs have anything to do with a v-taper? That's about having little body fat and a lot of mass on your back and shoulders

if standing still built muscle everyone would be walking around jacked.
How stupid are you, dipshit moron?

Horse stance isn't ideal for building muscle but come on now, it isn't remotely comparable to just standing around with all your joints in their strongest positions.

Yeah I once did horse stance daily for a week and got mad strength in my legs.
Though my pose was different from the picture, wider and not that low, and I didn't know what to do with my hands lol so they just hanged.
