I used a website calculator.net , don’t know how accurate it is. Would say my abs are around op’s where you can see and feel them, but they aren’t defined or at a 6 pack, and still have something in the way.

There are certain things on IST that make me know I'm reading the opinion of some dyel or fatty who has never actually followed through long enough to "make it". Stuff like "bulking" and "cutting" are among them, but also the idea that people should fast to lose weight (there are benefits, but it's just not good to tank your metabolism if you want to lose weight), anyone who puts forward an approach to diet that isn't fundamentally based on CICO. These people are all full of horseshit, and as soon as a year ago they would've been told by other fitizens to read the fricking sticky.

Can you see your gut through a shirt? If not, I would say bulking for another 8-12 weeks should be fine. A surplus of 500 to gain a pound a week.
Compare how many lbs of fat you have on you right now with the fattest you have ever been. You don't want to make new fat cells if you can avoid it. (so if you have never been this fat, cut down first)

Fat cells only shrink when you cut but new fat cells are created when existing ones start to fill up.
Does that make you more likely to put on fat in the future? Nobody can say for sure.
But why risk losing that lean fitness model look if you can add good muscle in 3-4 month bulk cycles?
