It's all about training your whole body to pull something towards itself with enthusiasm. Not a fussy lat isolation exercise. So let er rip with heavy weight, I usually do 275 for sets of 8, going for 315*5
I just don't like the way it feels. I feel chest supported way more in the muscles I'm actually trying to hit and I can go heavy with a grip that works the rear delts more.
I prefer either Pendlay rows or DB cheat rows. Together, they make the bent over BB row obsolete.
>absolutely shreds your back and forearms
Fuck this exercise
I still do it but but it's borderline impossible to progress on it after a certain point without cheating
rows are an excercise I dont mind cheating on, I think it's still good for growth

I hit 2pl8 3x8 and accepted that I hate it. I only do chest supported now.
i just hit this, why did you stop

lame, i want to row 3 plates one day, im going to keep doing these
I feel most activation during cable rows, but I think I just need more practice with other variations
Im feeling something in my legs when im doing this excersise. Is it normal?
Train legs more
I think so. It stretches hamstrings
it uses hamstrings a lot, if i do rdls before they get absolutely fried from these rows
Neutral grip pull-ups, anon.
I did this exercise when I was newer to lifting because I was too weak to do pull-ups
For me it´s trap bar rows.
My favorite compound exercise
smith machine rows are better 🙂
If I want to work my lower back, there are better exercises. If I want to work my upper back, there are better exercises.
RIP lower back
