Hes done alot of psychs over the last 4-5 years. Or has he actually reached enlightenment? watching his content for the first time in years, after being a huge fan back in 2014, he seems unhinged lol. Happy, but unhinged. What happened to Frank bros?
Tip Your Landlord Shirt $21.68 |
he’s been unhinged online for over a decade now. why are you resurrecting this chink from e-celebrity fall off
I find meditation and enlightenment stuff interesting but frank kinda makes it seem like a meme. id like him to explain what he learned from neuroscience and meditation
i dunno just seems different now
>i dunno just seems different now
schizo then, schizo now
do you disagree on my analysis?
yeah but he made better points before
and better content too frankly
he's exactly the same as a decade ago from the CHIEEEEEEA MODDER FOKKER-days, meaning full schizo
tf u talking bout?
>What happened to Frank bros?
also, let me extrapolate further, he is a case study of what happens to a mf aka rich kids (his uncle is a chingchong octrillionaire who funds his life style) when you have no basic survival needs and just have to fill the void with psuedo philosophical moronation (mind completely gone)
basically hedonism unleashed to max and new age hippie autism fully unlocked
but I guess still better than the wagie life in general
hope that helps
armchair psychology
also, frank is a gay
t. Frank
people like him make me angry. you can clearly tell he is doing a persona. the moronic thing is a mentally healthy person can turn that shit off, he on the other hand seems to be stuck in that persona.
If he's stuck in that persona, that's just his personality. dumbass
You're asking if a guy who used to finger drywall like it was pussy went insane? If anything he's more sane than he ever was.
He was always a nut case
From schizo rich ricecel to schizo rich ricecel
Lmao I forgot about this one. Those were the golden days.
Here's another.
This right here, the BBC back video and the Tom Cruise are his best works of art. Pure schizo kino
I see my comment from 10 years ago. It's so over...
Two things that i remember the most with frank yang in the old days was him naked on a bycicle and him giving away his bulking tips
?feature=shared&t=59
I remember really wanted to have this physique and style back in the day. Wow. Never got it, gained 100lbs and I'm just getting back into fitness over this past year. Gonna make it.
afaik lots of real-deal Buddhist people say he's legit
he doesn't articulate it in the most traditional terms cause he's not like super well-versed and sharp with Buddhist philosophy, but supposedly he has some genuine realization
in Buddhism lay people/householders can attain initial stages of enlightenment but generally full-blown Buddha-level enlightenment coincides with leaving the world behind, no possessions and so on
it's not out of the question at all that frank yang has attained that 'initial' stage of enlightenment, in Buddhist terms
scientific materialists will think the whole idea is all horseshit but what can ya do
i thought neuroscience supports alot of the idea that meditation changes and rewires brain structure
It does but the aim of the Buddhist thing is very very far beyond the scope of like, mindfulness-based stress reduction and productivity
Im new gay on meditation can OP or you explain from neuroscience perspective? i dont click with the fuddy duddy spirituality stuff
Neuroscience: meditation & mindfulness are solidly shown to be beneficial for mental health, stress reduction, productivity, greater mental well-being, greater frequency of positive emotions, and greater tolerance for weathering and enduring ‘negative’ emotions
This correlates to brain changes, for example apparently intensive mindfulness produces shrinkage in the amygdala - the part of the brain responsible for fear and fight/flight responses.
‘Spirituality’: Buddhism at least, aims to totally uproot the possibility of suffering, so a person who gets ‘fully enlightened’ will literally be at unconditional peace even in the midst of experiences like sickness, loss, death, starvation, torture, and so on. Mentally unfazed and peaceful, because the perceptual ‘thing’ in experience which makes them want any experience to be different, which makes them resist anything (the sense of Self as agent and subject), is uprooted, or seen to have always been a kind of illusion, which made them unnecessarily crave & resist experience. So without it, all experience occurs as unconditional peace, including the most painful experiences imaginable.
intersting anon thank you, sounds appealing. do you meditate alot?
is there any other info you have that was a good read
I do meditate a lot, but with explicitly spiritual aims.
If someone is just interested in stress reduction, greater emotional/mental health/resilience, and calming down their neurotic mind, I’d honestly sooner recommend yoga, especially yin yoga, and breathing exercises like pranayama. Lots of people are just running around in fight/flight/freeze all the time, and could benefit from something like yoga or pranayama to calm their nervous system. Constantly being in stress responses actually negatively impacts your health. Weakens the immune system, causes attention deficits, lower energy, less restful sleep, etc.
Also, Eckhart Tolle’s ‘The Power of Now’ is pretty good for this stuff.
But if someone wants ultimate freedom from suffering, then I’d point towards Buddhism.
Nice whats your meditation routine? frank recommends beginners do an hour relaxation transendial mediation and another hour body scans/focus meditation
personally I don't see the utility of focusing meditation
I'm more inclined to something like Zazen, just sitting without a 'technique' apart from just keeping aware of the experience as a whole. without drifting into thoughts, letting thoughts pass without absorbing into them, and keeping sensitive to the mind's aversion and grasping to the experience (or to fantasies, to thoughts of past and future, hope and fear, etc) and how this creates a sense of separation and suffering
2 hours a day is really a good ideal for someone who is truly dedicated
but yea true that beginners should probably have the breath as an anchor, for when they get distracted and 'drift off'
I guess it's a good starting point to try to gain a mental understanding of meditation but ultimately your aim is to drop all concepts, understanding, thoughts, attachments and creations of the mind entirely to be completely empty, aware but not aware of anything, it's difficult because if you are trying to do something you've already failed, you undo it all by attempting nothing, a complete paradox
the goal is to be hit with truth and have all the lies of this world washed away
Frank is wearing the costume of an enlightened one but he is heavily steeped in spiritual ego
Am i meditating if im lying in bed but cant sleep? i kind just relax and i consider sitting up and doing meditation in a seated position should i do that? i dont sleep when lying down
Also, is it meditation if i listen to a podcast while doing it? dumb question i know lol, maybe not meditation but would that decrease too active amygdala do you think?
I mean, Zen monks meditate with eyes open, gazing at a blank wall, and just sit there gazing at the wall, sitting, breathing, not moving, and not doing anything else
best to not have any distractions
LSD made me want to take better care of my body.
he's still insecure and replies to comments calling him out.
>IM ENLIGHTENED EVERYONE LOOK
>LOOK AT MY VIDEO ITS SO NEAT HUH?
>NOOOOO YOU ARE THE LOST SOUL I HAVE REACHED ENLIGHTENMENT
I'm no expert but people who have reached a point of enlightenment have no need to brag about how deep and philosophical they are to other redditors online like a 14 year old girl.
At least lately I don’t get that vibe from him at all
when he replies to people he seems pretty chill about it, doesn’t seem like he’s urgently seething
Is that Frank Yang? Holy shit I remember him from back in the day with his 10k calorie bulk videos. Doing box jumps and random sprinting shit.
I prefer the old schizo IRL shitposting Fronk
Didn't he used to post here?
I stopped following him years ago when he started to frick around in a Church
Larry Gao is so dreamy *.*
He went from fun unhinged schizo to philosophical schizo.
I still consider this his magmum opus.
Frick that's a good vid.
it's not
it's pretentious homosexual shit
Hes deleted so many great ones
i really like the ones of him just chilling around taiwan and his scooter going to night markets.
is there an archive anywhere i would love to watch those again
Wow you all could be doing a thing productive e but instead you're debating and arguing about a rich e celeb who doesn't even know you exist nor would care about you eve if he did.
and yet here you are
Frank basically did everything he wanted to do in the physical world so he’s trying to somehow break free from it but he doesn’t realize he’s actually just feeding his schizophrenic fantasies but he’s not really harming anybody he seems to be in good physical health regardless of his mindset

>his Johnny Cash hurt video isn't on the vimeo anymore
