          NTA but
          >In response to a potential pandemic strain of a flu virus in 1976, there was a national campaign for people to get the swine flu vaccination. Over 45 million people were vaccinated and there were increased reports of GBS following vaccination. Those who received the 1976 swine flu vaccine had a slight increased risk for developing GBS of approximately 10 additional cases of GBS for every 1 Million people who got the swine flu vaccine.
Result: The vaccine was withdrawn under the precautionary principle and the healthcare ethos of "first, do no harm"
          > Incidence of myocarditis after Covid-19 mRNA vaccines was highest in male adolescents and male young adults (age 12-17 years, range 50-139 cases per million (low certainty); 18-29 years, 28-147 per million (moderate certainty)). For girls and boys aged 5-11 years and women aged 18-29 years, incidence of myocarditis after vaccination with BNT162b2 (Pfizer/BioNTech) could be fewer than 20 cases per million (low certainty)
Result: Widespread mockery and censorship of anyone suggesting that the vaccines are potentially harmful: Vaccines still promoted by governments around the world. You are a schizophrenic conspiracy theorist if you think that the rate of harm is concerning.

              >The Incidence of Myocarditis and Pericarditis in Post COVID-19 Unvaccinated Patients-A Large Population-Based Study
              >Myocarditis and pericarditis are potential post-acute cardiac sequelae of COVID-19 infection, arising from adaptive immune responses. We aimed to study the incidence of post-acute COVID-19 myocarditis and pericarditis. Retrospective cohort study of 196,992 adults after COVID-19 infection in Clalit Health Services members in Israel between March 2020 and January 2021. Inpatient myocarditis and pericarditis diagnoses were retrieved from day 10 after positive PCR. Follow-up was censored on 28 February 2021, with minimum observation of 18 days. The control cohort of 590,976 adults with at least one negative PCR and no positive PCR were age- and sex-matched. Since the Israeli vaccination program was initiated on 20 December 2020, the time-period matching of the control cohort was calculated backward from 15 December 2020. Nine post-COVID-19 patients developed myocarditis (0.0046%), and eleven patients were diagnosed with pericarditis (0.0056%). In the control cohort, 27 patients had myocarditis (0.0046%) and 52 had pericarditis (0.0088%). Age (adjusted hazard ratio [aHR] 0.96, 95% confidence interval [CI]; 0.93 to 1.00) and male sex (aHR 4.42; 95% CI, 1.64 to 11.96) were associated with myocarditis. Male sex (aHR 1.93; 95% CI 1.09 to 3.41) and peripheral vascular disease (aHR 4.20; 95% CI 1.50 to 11.72) were associated with pericarditis.

              >Post COVID-19 infection was not associated with either myocarditis (aHR 1.08; 95% CI 0.45 to 2.56) or pericarditis (aHR 0.53; 95% CI 0.25 to 1.13).

              >We did not observe an increased incidence of neither pericarditis nor myocarditis in adult patients recovering from COVID-19 infection.

post-covid adult mc incidence: 45 per million

so perfectly in range. no difference. nothingburger. less than 0.01% of myocarditis in either case. move on with your life.

                >so perfectly in range. no difference.
The difference is that one is the result of a natural disease, and one is the result of a medical intervention marketed as safe & effective and virtually risk-free. Patients cannot make informed consent if this information is not presented to them, and if they are induced by government propaganda.
This isn't even getting to the efficacy (or lack thereof) of the vaccines.

The point of the israel study is that the risk of myocarditis was equal between those who contracted covid-19 and those who didn't. THAT is your "no difference".

28-147 cases per million of myocarditis is NOT normal for the 18-29 age bracket.
A separate study from Israel found a rate of slightly over 100 cases per million of myocarditis for the 18-29 age bracket

now consider this is in line with the effect of COVID-19, so by this narrow metric it's neither better nor worse. now consider covid comes with a slew of other much more common risks leading to a fatality rate 5-10 times higher in 20 and 30 year olds and "long covid" symptoms in another significant percentage of people. nevermind older groups. It's obvious the vax is a huge net-benefit.

The alpha variant, maybe, when the population had no natural immunity. But the risk benefit analysis of TODAY is different. The circulating omicron strains of covid are far less harmful than original strains, and the majority of the population has a degree of (superior) natural immunity from previous infection.

it's worth noting my figure for a fatality rate of 0.05-0.1% among 20 and 30 yos was actually low ball to further demonstrate the point. alpha variant rate of 0.2% is widely cited for those age groups. but let's stick with 0.1% and drop that by 80% to 0.02%, that leaves you with 2x the chance of dying from covid than your heart feeling funny from the vaxx. risk benefit analysis still points strongly in vaxx's favour.

You don't really understand how vaccines work, do you?
You can still get the illness, your body is just more apt to fight it because it knows what it's dealing with from square 1, and it can target it earlier. It's the difference between being in a crowd and getting attacked by a group of people that are spray painted red vs being in a crowd and getting attacked by a group of people which look exactly like any regular person. Guess which ones you'll spot and destroy sooner.

How does that not double the risk of you can still get really sick? I know plenty of vaxxed people who got hit hard with Covid.

Seems like a pointless vaccine. You don’t see polio, smallpox, rhubella, measles and mumps anymore because those vaccines actually worked

                >How does that not double the risk of you can still get really sick?
In theory, you shouldn't risk to get really sick if you're vaccinated as long as you don't have a bunch of other health issues.
                >I know plenty of vaxxed people who got hit hard with Covid.
I also know a few, but the people in question also already had some pretty serious health problems.
                >Seems like a pointless vaccine. You don’t see polio, smallpox, rhubella, measles and mumps anymore because those vaccines actually worked
                That is true.
I'm not gonna discuss whether or not the coof vax was intended to do damage or not, because I don't have enough legitimate information to pick any side. I mean, pozzed media (who could secretly be lizards) telling you that men are women and to eat ze bugs VS some guys on the internet (who could secretly be dogs) who also believe that microwaves give you cancer and that the earth is flat. Not exactly great choices.
All I can say is that, whatever the intention was, the whole thing was poorly executed and the result was a shitshow.

From my anecdotal experience it’s been mostly vaxxed people who keep catching Covid. I had it once and I have taken absolutely zero precautions since this began (was sick for a day, lost smell for a couple weeks).

The vaccine was shilled as being an effective solution to the problem but it turns out that was a total lie. Pointless at best, damaging to long term health at worst. No thanks.

this is what the incels in this thread do not understand. There is inherent harm in ALL interventions, even drawing blood for a simple test. We constantly learn from those and try to minimize that, but likely the complication rate in evert medical intervention is never 0%.
The eejits here blabbering about how for example that amebocyte lysate is "for the covid vaccine" are so retarded that there is likely no saving them anymore. The ship has sailed. Of course it's for that and over9000 other indications. Still, its nice to feel one can spout turds about whatever as long as it benefits the drooling narrative how "vaccines are a form of governmental control" or some even more retarded 5G shit

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horseshoe_crab#Blood_harvesting

      >Blood harvesting
      >Horseshoe crabs use hemocyanin to carry oxygen through their blood. Because of the copper present in hemocyanin, their blood is blue.[46] Their blood contains amebocytes, which play a similar role to the white blood cells of vertebrates in defending the organism against pathogens. Amebocytes from the blood of L. polyphemus are used to make Limulus amebocyte lysate (LAL), which is used for the detection of bacterial endotoxins in medical applications.[47] There is a high demand for the blood, the harvest of which involves collecting and bleeding the animals, and then releasing them back into the sea. Most of the animals survive the process; mortality is correlated with both the amount of blood extracted from an individual animal, and the stress experienced during handling and transportation.[48] Estimates of mortality rates following blood harvesting vary from 3–15%[49] to 10–30%.[50][51][52] Approximately 500,000 Limulus are harvested annually for this purpose.[53]

Brutal. I'm a voracious carnivorous mammal, all my hobbies include killing and eating in some capacity, but this scientismic torturism is ghastly and perverse. And it's all for making a few bucks. We should not fear a robot uprising or swarms of alien insects, they are already here. None of the people who do this would have any qualms about doing this to a man, woman, or child but for the red tape.
