When I was depressed I just didn't let myself buy unhealthy food, so there was none at home to eat. You only have to use your willpower once, instead of every time you're hungry
try to eat only one meal every/other day, thats what im trying but its difficult.
ideally working out because then you burn more cal from working as well as actually having the muscles
but im completely sedentary and doing anything is difficult.
