I was once like you friend, except I’m 6’ 2”. First thing you need to do is stop saying you eat a lot. I guarantee you aren’t eating enough, and what you are eating is shit. You don’t need protein powder, get some beef, rice, butter, yogurt, eggs, milk, shit like that, and eat alot. 4-5 meals a day, more if you can handle it. Protein powder won’t make you gain mass

I make $85k a year, my mortage payment is $1300/mo, all other bills put together are another $1000/mo, I have my own basement gym, and a tub is only $60 dollars or so.

Shouldn't be. Use a shaker. Protein powder doesn't dissolve in water like salt or cocoa powder does, that's why you need a shaker which contains a metal part or a net to turn your powder into a creamy, smooth shake. Tastes even better with milk, especially if your plan is to gain weight.
This. Also hot watery liquid causes some chemical reaction with the protein that turns it into spongey flakes. Either add it to hot liquid after shaking or shake it with the liquid while cold then heat it up.

Are you using a blender? Different powders will have different consistencies, just have to try them to find out what works for you.
You don't have to just drink it either. Most protein powders can be substituted 1 for 1 with flour. So make pancakes, biscuits, cakes etc.

Protein powder itself isn't a good mass gainer though. You can get specific mass gain powders but if you want to put on weight you just have to eat. Far more than you feel comfortable eating.

You brought this onto yourself.
Get a proper shaker or chuck it into a blender with water/milk. Mixing it together with just a spoon as how you would do it with nesquik does not work well with protein powder.
Adhere to the mixing directions on the package in the beginning. Using too much gets you the consistency of semen, too few gets you watery tasting shit.
I greatly prefer making protein shakes with milk (not the low fat kind), it tastes way better than water, also helps with gaining weight.

That denatures it. You can throw it in not-hot milk and then microwave it to avoid that but watch it as it microwaves because it tends to bubble over.
