Arm wrestlers and climbers use ball pull ups and they are famous for their grip
Rock climbing I can see this for since you're doing the same kinds of movements, that makes sense. I still don't get the point of it for anyone else though.

You can’t compare them since grip becomes the limiting factor on the ball pull-ups. If you have a weak grip, you might only be able to do a couple. If you have a strong grip, then it would be just like a regular pull-up.
Easier than dick-grip pullups.

Yesterday I did for the first time 10 weighted pull-ups with 46 lbs on, followed by 10 with 24lbs and another 10 just body weight, repeated the whole thing with chin ups struggling to get to 10 in all the sets, but I was so fricking proud of myself, couldn't imagine I was able to lift myself up like that, expecially cause I only weigh 138lbs.
