40kg weight vest walks for 30min every day
Give them an insane amount of volume (8 or more sets a week), do low weight high reps (15-30), and eat more (provides fuel for muscle or at the very least makes you fat, which also builds calves).
I was a pro ballet dancer in high school, ballet work is mostly calf exercises, my calves grew exponentially while I was dancing and stayed big afterwards. So ballet is the nuclear option for calf growth

I do a set of 20-30 calf raises after the first 5-6 sets of whatever else im doing that day. Focus on squeezing at the top. My calves are pretty huge.
You have to be a fat kid/teenager. I was and my calves are goddamn enormous.

Yes. It's not like a moronic tippy-toe like in cartoons, I just walked around barefoot a lot and kept my heels about an inch off the ground at all times.
not op, but I also walked on my tiptoes for most of my childhood. no one told me to do it, i'm just moronic and thought it was cool. ok being honest I still walk around on my tiptoes when I'm alone also I use my pinky finger whenever possible, it just feels right.
I now wield huge calves AND strong pinkies.

this I have 24 inch calves at 230lbs and 6'3 was a fat 300lb kid growing up and a very good football player
It's 80% genetics : good insertions, thick ball short muscle as opposed to stretched all the way down to the heel. The rest is 20% hard work.
I'm beginning to think calves are just about genetics. I've got high insertions like sprinters and I'm not convinced they even can grow at this point. I'll keep training them anyway but it's pretty disheartening seeing everything else blow up except them.
Calf raises will only take you so far, and even then you have to absolutely blast them with both weight and volume.
But forget calf raises. If you really want to see a change, start doing hill sprints. And use the stairclimber while pressing up on the ball of your feet. That's a rep for each step you take, basically.

Crazy volume needed. 20+ sets a week 15-20 reps with as much weight as you can handle. Calves heal crazy fast so you can hit them 4-5 times per week no problem

I don't have spectacular calves but i did go from non-existent calf muscles to having at least somewhat visible musculature. The only thing I did was increase the weight on the standing calf raise machine at my gym. I used to do like 20-25 reps of 200lbs but these days I do maybe 10-12 reps of 520-600 lbs for 5-6 sets. Just be careful and intensely brace your core or you'll break your spine

Go backpacking in rough terrain, snow, or sand with the heaviest backpack you can stand.
Go to leg press machine and only put your toes on the press so u train your calves. Do calf pushes on that 3 times until it burns so much u can keep going. Then ur calves will be massive. Don’t worry about the weight just use the same amount u press with
you need volume, motherfricker. get into rucking it out in the mountains. when I was a mentally ill 19 year old, I would go off to the smokies every other weekend with a shit ton of gear and just explore every nook of the park. grew big boy calves through all of that, can't replicate 10hr days in the gym. and after I stopped doing that, they regressed back into normal boi calves.
Focus on the eccentric with heavy weight, cheat up the weight even, just do your damnedest to control the weight on the way down with everything you've got. Do for about 10 reps at the end of every set. Take creatine. Measure them too so you know if you're making progress if the good ole dysmorphia is getting you
