Stop thinking of oils as foods. They're all processed and inflammatory to various degrees. Seriously if its liquid at room temperature and stored in a tinted container because the mere presence of light causes oxidation, maybe it's not a natural food for humans.
But it's very very profitable.
It's all about the Omega-3 vs Omega-6 ratio. Eat fish oil and quit ALL seed oils. If you want to use plant based oil use olive oil.
(Rapeseed/canola oil has a great omega fatty acid ratio, but the production methods risk producing trans fats and reducing the quality of the product. This subpar product often passes even the most careful inspection.)
Fish liver oils on the other hand has a fantastic omega 3 to 6 ratio and simple, effective extraction methods. Adding a tablespoon or two to your diet can do wonders to offset the damage done by other oils.
TL;DR: There's no one reason why seed oils are bad for you, but almost all of them are. It's better to avoid them until you find a strong, compelling reason to add one to your diet.
