                >Caffeine has consistently been shown to improve exercise performance when consumed in doses of 3–6mg/kg body mass. Minimal effective doses of caffeine currently remain unclear but they may be as low as 2mg/kg body mass. Very high doses of caffeine (e.g. 9mg/kg) are associated with a high incidence of side-effects and do not seem to be required to elicit an ergogenic effect.
                >Aerobic endurance appears to be the form of exercise with the most consistent moderate-to-large benefits from caffeine use, although the magnitude of its effects differs between individuals.
                >Small to moderate benefits of caffeine use include, but are not limited to: muscular endurance, movement velocity and muscular strength, sprinting, jumping, and throwing performance, as well as a wide range of aerobic and anaerobic sport-specific actions.
                >The use of caffeine in conjunction with endurance exercise in the heat and at altitude is well supported when dosages range from 3 to 6mg/kg and 4–6mg/kg, respectively.

Coffee acts as a mild fog reducer for me. It doesn't "wake me up" or make me feel "wired". It just makes it a little easier to move and think in the morning. I can have coffee right before bed if I feel like it, its not that bad for me.
I have a cup or two a day with fairlife whole milk and 2 teaspoons of sugar. Had 0 ill health effects.

unironically yes, if you look at the literature there's a ton of health benefits for coffee specifically (not just the caffeine) that are consistently replicated. It's not widely publicized because an adequate mechanism of action hasn't been described and there's some resistance in the medical community to recommending caffeine intake across the board.

    >These posters, talking about "is coffee good for you?". five hours, six hours caffeinated, like it's the only thing that matters. But what good is to just be awake when I'm too jittery to work? To enjoy a gallon of milk? To make gains? [long pause] For what time I have left, I want to lift in my own house. I want to sleep in my own bed. I don't wanna choke down three or four cups of coffee and lose my hair, and pace around, too wired to think, and so nauseated that I can't even move my head. [looks at janny] You cleaning up after me. [starting to cry] Me, ... some awake man, some artificially awake man... just marking time. [to everyone] That's how you'd remember me, that's the worst part. So that, is my thought process. I'm sorry. It's just... I choose not to drink it.

Anons do you even know just what you're endorsing?
Coffee is made with the exploitation of countless 3rd world workers!

Honestly, think about it rationally. They are watering, fertilizing, raising and rearing a plant for months solely so some yuppie can enjoy a drink or dessert. All the hard work you put into your beautiful little beans - protecting them from pests, watering them, making sure the soil is just right, making sure they reach full maturity. All of it has one simple result: her rich dark full body flavor is more enjoyable for the men that will eventually drink her like a milkshake!

Raised the perfect coffee bush? Great. Who benefits? If you're lucky, a random man who had nothing to do with the way she grew up, who buys her. He gets to drink her down every morning. He gets the benefits of her caffeine and sweet flavor that came from the way you raised her.

As a coffee grower who has a harvests beans, you are LITERALLY dedicating at years of your life simply to raise beans for the 1st world to enjoy. It is the ULTIMATE AND FINAL cuck. Think about it logically.

Caffeine is ok in moderation but ultimately it's a gains goblin and whoever says otherwise is a stimulant junkie that can't function without coffee.

    > Raises cortisol which messes with your gains
    > Fucks up your sleep schedule
    > Gives you constipation

I stopped drinking coffee and only drink it occassionally. I'm more of a tea guy but I should also reduce my tea consumption since it has a bit of caffeine.

If you gonna drink coffee or take preworkout: Take it when you are well rested and just need a bit of an energy boost. Don't take it when you are sleep deprived.
